Just watched a preview of the first 2 story missions and I can't believe they brought Ulfars voice actor back to play a space wolf named Ulfar (probably not a coincidence) only to immedately kill him. That man carried me through the second half of Rogue Trader, solo'd the archon, the Dark Apostle and the Humonculus only to die to a basic Tyranid warrior :(

the mission takes place with a squad of Firstborn deathwatch marines so it's probable that Ulfar was recovered then later crossed the Rubicon and appears in RT, since he's already Primaris there.

iirc he never really discusses his past in detail to von valancius jr

Ulfar was a firstborn marine in Rogue Trader, his armor is MK 7 and he uses firstborn pattern weapons. Also I'm not certain but I think Rogue Trader takes place right after the fall of cadia because of the warprift around the Koronus expanse. Its more likely that after the events of rogue trader he failed to join the other pack and joined the deathwatch.

Cool cameo, but kind of an anti-climactic way to kill off a character if it is really him.

oh dammit for some reason i remembered him as a primaris marine
and then the wiki said he had tacticus armor but yeah looking thru his stats he doesn't have the primaris keyword, just astartes

I don't believe it's the sane Ulfar, in Rogue Trader ge is voiced by Oliver Smith, in Space Marine 2 he's voiced by Gary Martin, who also does various other voices. I'm guessing Ulfar is just Fenrisian John.
