PVP Crossplay

I hope that This won't be the case, but to my understanding the pvp mode won't support cross-platform.

“crossplay for the PvP mode “Eternal War” will be split between PC players in one pool (Steam & EGS) and console players in the other one (PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S)”

Anyone who knows more about this? Would be a bummer to be unable to play with friends over on console.

I mean kinda makes sense but at the same time doesn't. Console players get too much assist is an often complaint but at the same time console players can be so bad M&K look like hacks. So makes sense that way.

At the same time why not let us decide for ourselves if we want full crossplay.

They should just add an option for input based matchmaking. I play pc games on controller because i cant play on M&K for too long before my hands lock up so if there is no aim assist for controllers in pvp i wont be buying this game. They dont even have to make aim assist strong but without it you get destroyed against M&K...

The bigger the pool the better. Should there be a toggle to turn on/off crossplay, sure. However, when the population dwindles I would prefer they remove the option and force crossplay.

or maybe just make an opt in/out system dont matter if they controller or M&K give people a choice

i have 2 friends on ps5 that i can't play pvp with since i'm on pc. would love to at least be able to play that mode with them. so saber please add a mode that allows pvp cross play

I actually think a lot of people overestimate the advantage you'd have in a game like this with mouse and keyboard over controller even if the aim assist was really weak or almost no existent. Sure if you would put 2 snipers against each other with the other one playing controller and the they other mouse and kb, the mouse and kb player would likely win. But in a third person shooter where movement and melee are are just as important, if not more important than your aim, I don't really see why the input would be the reason there is no crossplaform pvp.

To be fair the reason is probably something else, but still some people always assume it's because mouse and kb would dominate or the other way around if the game had cod tier lock on.

I agree you still have the option to have cross play. You can do cross play campaign, but not cross play PVP? That makes no sense. They need to add this ASAP.

They stated before hand that in the PvP mode that it would be restricted to each platform. PC will be PC only and consoles console only. Doesn't make it any less of a moronic decision. By doing this, all they're doing is lowering the player pool that is available. I've got two friends that play on XBOX and we really want to do the PvP together and I refuse to fork out another £54 for the game on console just to play PvP with them.

In 2024, it shouldn't even be a consideration, all games should feature cross platform multiplayer regardless of Input. The option to disable crossplay should be there of course I would even say it should be disabled on console by default with players having to opt in to play with PC players. I hope they come to their senses and fix this because it's frustrating. All I want to do is play with some mates.

I'm on PC. We just tried to do PVP and got that error message. Hoping they add it in.

This is terrible and I hope they fix this! Not being able to play with the friends I convinced to buy sucks bad!
