After the announcement, my first thought was "Neat, I'll just put a twitch stream in the background while I watch youtube or something." People always gotta complain about something I guess.

"Please note that it should be one hour in total, meaning that you won’t have to do it in one sitting. You can watch 20 minutes a day, 40 minutes the next, and it will count!"

Literally you have 26 days to do this. If you don't have time to leave a stream on for a total of 1 hour within 26 days, might as well quit playing video games as you obviously don't have the time for that.

If i could berate you i would, but given "Community guidelines" i can't. It isn't a matter or "too many steps" or "Laziness". It has everything to do with principle of the having to engage with an outside system to receive items that are hard-coded into the game and take up storage space & locked to those that didn't engage with said outside system.

Let me put it another way,, Why should i have to nominate space on my PC storage for a cosmetic i can never use because i didn't want to waste my bandwidth artificially bumping some twitch ♥♥♥♥♥

They hopefully will be releasing new content like this for years to come. Topspin 2k25 did the same thing. Literally picked any stream turned it down and let it play while i was playing the game.... too easy and not a big deal
