Terminator Class after launch?
My go to Class will probably be the Heavy or Bulwark. But i cant help but miss my beloved Tactical Dreadnought Armor we had in Spacehulk Deathwing. It will probably severely lack Mobility but might make up for it with Extreme Firepower and Survivability. No Game has quite been able to replicate that feeling of being a Walking Tank like Deathwing did.
What do you guys think?

There are no Primaris Terminators. The Aggressors are the closest thing.

Which would be stupid since there were always exceptionally big and massive first born Astartes like Tyberos, Asterion Moloc, Abbadon etc. with custom built Terminator Armor in the 30k/40k era.

And the Alpha Legion were also known for being generally bigger than most of the other Legionaires from the other Legions.

Retrofitting Termi Armor to Primaris size shouldn´t be to hard.

If they add terminators which they should because it would absolutely based then I'm imagining two scenarios.

1: One terminator per PVE Operation match for balance
Or
2: A full squad but enemy spawn rates are doubled. Less fodder and more heavy elite enemies.

Even one would require rebalancing across the board. Same with more then one. I do believe its to much work for little pay.
What are we Helldivers 2? Nah I say we should add it and let people have fun.

But why?
I mean Primaris Armor is equal to Terminator Armor.

Also it depends on the situation wich PA you use. I'd suggest MK VII/VIII variants come out on top for sheer flexibility. But if you want to have a look around a Space Hulk or zap over to an enemy flagship, Terminators are still going to be your go-to, also to hold an defend hard hitted positions are well suited for Terminators.
The problem is that we are in the open and the need for flexibility is higher as the need for stand tank fire.

Next is even many First Captains dont wear Terminator Armor because their Artificer armour are far more flexible in all cases.

All in all Terminator armour is not the answer to all things and they dont need to bring it into this game.

I think somewhere online it was hinted there would be more classes post launch.

You still need to have some type of challenge in the game, if you add 3 terminators instead of 3 marines and you rofl stomp everything with no challenge it gets really fast, really boring.
They do need to rebalance somehow the game when terminator armor is in. Would you have fun if they made regular marines invulnerable, infinite ammo and 1 shoot everything? I would not.

HD2 devs did ruin by balancing around making ♥♥♥♥ hard and not fun but there is a limit to it.

I could see it as a limited class, especially as a bonus objective in PvP, but it would be a bit strange as a regular class.

Still waiting for a good version of Space Hulk.

There will be more classes. They've confirmed that.

The likely options will be Primaris Aggressor, Apothecary and Techmarine. I'm sure there could be others, but these are the 3 most likely additionals.

terminators are slow.
basically the entire team's speed would be "throttled" to the slowest player.

Not having a melee weapon with the Heavy class is a big mistake, you miss 50% of the gameplay elements.
+1

You have Assault, thats why naming Devastator class Heavy is stupid. Assault Squads handle melee combat, Devastator squads are support element. Assaults have variable melee weapons such as power axes, power swords, thunder hammers, power fists. They are quick and maneuverable and even more useful than melee terminators.
It was fine in Space Marine 1, where Devastators were a brute force with big firepower, Las Cannons in multiplayer destroyed people in PvP, and you had a stun attack with a halo shield to make you survive, plus a bolt pistol.

don't see it happening, terminator armour is basically a strict upgrade. it would negate any reason to use power armour if it was released. probably not a good idea to release "weak" terminator class either since they are so iconic and strong in the tabletop

Termi armor can be balanced by making them less agile (slower movement/ rotation speed and no dodge roll) in exchange for more durability (HP/ Armor and no stun) and firepower (less recoil and spread for ranged weapons)

Maybe a gamemode where one person on each team is assigned as a terminator and the objective of each team is to keep them alive and destroy the other teams terminator.

that wouldn't be enough of a trade off in this kind of game, they would have much better protection and firepower (even different/stronger weapons than normal marines). i think they'd just make marines obsolete

if they introduced them properly they would have to have a separate difficulty level for terminators only
