Worth it for just the campaign?
For those of you who pre-ordered and will start with the campaign, I'd appreciate if you could give me your feedback on whether or not this game would be worth it for just the campaign...

I don't have anyone to play co-op with, and I'm not even the least bit interested in PvP... sooo, as much as I love WH40K, I'm on the fence here, as for now it sounds as though the campaign is just there to tick a box, and the real focus of the devs is on the online stuff.

I still think the campaign is going to be incredible, but no doubt future development is going to be focused around the multiplayer PvE (and PvP?).

Either way, the quick answer is "yes," I still think the game's worth picking up even if you just want to experience the campaign single player. :)

I'm not sure if this will help, but you can play co-op by yourself I believe, and the other two characters will be controlled by AI.

Personally, I'd say it's not worth $60 for 1/3rd of the content with a playtime of 10-12 hours. But value is subjective, so it might be worth it for you. The campaign length is at least average for the shooter genre.

Here's hoping it'll turn out that way... but I've been burned before, for example with Battlefront 2 back in the day... they promised a full singleplayer campaign, but what it turned out to actually be was nothing but a string of tutorial missions for the multiplayer mode.

Not saying I expect the same degree of BS here, just saying I'm worried that for someone like me (to whom 60 bucks also is an actual fortune), I'm just worried that I would be done with the game in about 10 hours and that's it for good.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Edit:
Co-Op with Bots could be a nice value add, IF the AI is at least somewhat tolerable...
