21:9 Aspect Ratio - 3440x1440 Launch Support
What the title says, I know not all of us use 21:9 aspect ratio but not having on launch day is a real bummer and I don't want to play the game with black side bars if the game doesn't support 3440x1440. I can't speak for everyone but for those of us who use this it would be nice especially for those that are gonna start playing next week on September 5th like myself for example.

I hope this support is rolled out very soon hopefully around September 5th for the early access players. Cause when the game comes out on September 9th everyone will already have 21:9 support.

I don't know, not having Ultrawide support sucks. It's like Skyrim and Fallout 4 with no Ultrawide support, I had to download mods just to have Ultrawide support for those games. It's 2024, come on this needs to be supported regardless of how many players use this resolution.

EDIT: We got the Ultrawide patch BUT the UI does not fill up the screen. The Game itself fills up the screen but NOT the UI, like your health and weapons for example or when you're in the Armory, etc.

Here is a link to a thread I posted regarding the new update and the UI on Focus Together Forums.

5120x2160 here, I'm sad now that I know it wont support UW.

They said it will in by the end of september, we can put up with it for a few weeks.
I can't believe a game in 2024 comes out with no support for ultrawide but what can you do...

I was happy because I assumed that Season 1 would be available right from the release and with it the Ultrawide support. Now I have to read that it will only be added “sometime” in September. The game was postponed from Winter 2023 to Autumn 2024 and doesn't even have Ultrawide support at release, which is available at launch for all “bigger” games today. Especially since WWZ also has Ultrawide support and Space Marines (1). And now? Will there be a workaround on 05.09?
The order has already been canceled as a precaution. I was really looking forward to the game and am absolutely disappointed....
Yeah, it sucks.

It's a joke honestly, releasing a game in 2024 with no Ultrawide and HDR support at lunch... come on mate.
Mr Chicken Sep 2, 2024 @ 1:32am
$10 says they wont even implement it properly, it'll be 16:9 stretched (vert-) instead of true 21:9 (hor+), why devs still do vert- as the default is beyond me. What's to bet the game doesn't even have an FOV slider?

Couldn't agree more.
And they should add Super wide(32:9) support at the same time cause this should not be a problem if they can add Ultra wide.

I suspect the launch version will have unsupported ultrawide, meaning the UI will be a bit screwy but it works. The supported ultrawide coming later will fix the UI.

to be honest... would anyone care if devs, for what game ever releases in the future, charge like 3-6 bucks extra for UW and 5120x1440 as DLC?

Id pay that, just to have proper 21:9 or 32:9 (and more) implementation at release.
So the people who can not afford or dont want better Displaysetups can play theyre crap and we can play ours.

Having to pay extra just to be able to play the game is just wild. Especially considering adding support for Ultra wide and Super ultra wide is such a minor thing. This is just the devs being lazy/ignorant

That's the same way I feel.

you have to understand that not everyone is a poorLing like you and we can afford expensive machinery since we have disposable income.
I have three monitors and I deliberately avoided ultrawide because I considered it niche and suboptimal for many things. I'm not a "poorling" I hope does support your resolution on launch, I have nothing against ultrawide but ultrawide is not the standard, even in the ultra high end monitors it's not the standard. It may never become the standard. It is currently roughly 3% of the market on steam. That's it.

WTF, they can't be serious.

"Is the game compatible with wide screens?

➡️ Wide screen support is planned. While it won't be available right at launch, we're working on implementing it by the end of September."

Based on review I've watched, no, it does not.

I bought my monitor not realizing it was UW. I'm so glad I did. It really adds a lot for immersion and I prefer it greatly over my previous two monitor setup. Try to search for people saying they regret transitioning to UW. You're not going to find it. What you will find though is people who say they'll never go back. If I had to buy a replacement monitor today, I would still get another UW.

I love Ultrawide monitors.
