the steam user data is misleading. A lot of people use steam but dont game that much. Ultrawide is very common among people who play games a lot. Basically the steam user data is kinda watered down by lots and lots of casual gamers. Every time a popular game doesn't support ultrawide there are huge threads with hundreds of comments on it.
~3% is accurate as thats about 3.96 million users. Thats a lot of people out of the 132 million total steam users. But even still thats only really a drop in the bucket. SM2 is on multiple platforms and the predominate TV screen is 16:9. the prominent PC screens are 16:9. This game will get UW support the fact that its not day one is what people are complaining about as they feel they deserve it. In this sense looking at the total amount of potential people that will play SM2 its still only going to be a small percentage that will have UW monitors.
please
People have already claimed the same mod that worked for WWZ game (same devs, same engine) work in this game. Its been confirmed in UE gaming discords
