Do you realize Warcraft started as a Warhammer project, then they refused to sell the IP to them. So they've created their own universe with Warcraft and Starcraft, both of them were inspired by Warhammer.
And Warhammer was pretty much inspired by Tolkien.
Sike, zoomer.

Just a heretic trying to exploit our anger to make his demons proud. Let us not forget our eternal oath to the Emperor of mankind, nothing can stop us as our devotion is immeasurable

Warhammer started before Starcraft, that is an actual known fact. Everyone admits to it these days.

is it wrong that I'm actually a little amused people are falling for the age old "lol this looks like starcraft/warcraft/gears of war" trolling? I mean it's such a low effort trolling attempt and even after being present for over a decade it's somehow still getting a reaction

Tyranids are not bugs. they are dinosaurs with exposed boneplates

Tyranids are Inspired by H.R. Giger

His main influences were painters Dado, Ernst Fuchs, and Salvador Dalí. He was introduced to Dali by painter Robert Venosa. Giger was also influenced by Polish sculptor Stanislaw Szukalski, and by painters Austin Osman Spare and Mati Klarwein, and was a personal friend of Timothy Leary. He studied interior and industrial design at the School of Commercial Art in Zurich from 1962 to 1965, and made his first paintings as art therapy.

All of which predate the Starship troopers book
