12h for me btw
Plus the campaign is so good, I am already wanting to start a new game afterwards just to enjoy the story presentation once more. Maybe on normal just for chilling through it.
i played this game with my brother in nightmare first time playthrough because we had a feeling whoever said it was a 6 hour story was probably playing on the easiest training wheels press edition of the game, yeah thats a thing. ever since that one idiot failed cuphead spectacularly and wrote a hit piece on how hard it was.
game companies have actually had to make press versions of games that were intentionally on training wheels because games journalists were surprise surprise, incredibly bad at videogames (why the hell are they covering videogames if they cant even play to save their life?). perfect example being Final Fantasy 16 and its "game plays itself" accessories.
I have 7.4 hours. Am on the first "Traitor" mission." was at the end of it when I stopped playing last night on angel of death difficulty.+ I've done 3 operations and just spent some time in the hub. So in actuality, my campaign is sitting at around 5.8 hours right now. It's an ok game, but it is well known it is a short game.
If you are not dying every now and then, you have it set too easy. Increasing the difficulty will up the play time significantly. Even just the extra time needed to kill more mobs will add up over the course of the campaign.
I'm on my second playthrough of the campaign from the beginning and it seems to be averaging 8 hours. 6 hours is definitely way too low of an estimate for how long each mission is, which seems to be 45 minutes to an hour long.
you can only go so slow in this game and if your argument against the campaign being 6 hours is "i haven't completed it yet" then YOU are the one doing something wrong.
angel of death is probably to easy for 3 skilled people so better to go with AI companions so the game wont become to easy.
I talk about the campaign length because I already know how long it is lol. The game was gifted to me. I had no intentions on picking it up until Spring of next year and you can google the videos yourself. Campaign completion all cutscenes on standard/normal difficulty is 6 hours and 26 minutes. However, if you up the difficulty (Again your choice.) the time can extend drastically due to mob clearing time (Less damage/more hp) and fails (Redos) Like me. I got stuck on that damn chain for like an hour because enemies were shooting me through the crates/flooring.
Confirmed it too, walked over there to watch them doing it. Even my AI partners were shooting through the flooring/crates, so some brief research showed that a lot of people experienced this and it was terribad on angel of death difficulty. Reactor, another rough segment, took 3 tries. etc.
