I believe the OP thinks this is somehow an own against the people asking for fem marines without realizing that orks aren't male, so it's an apples to oranges to comparison.
Or apples to mushoom.
I don't think so? They weren't exactly programmed. More their mind was directly transferred into the robotic body via the soul forges in a process that split their soul from their consciousness whilst splitting it from their body
>boys
I think they canonically see themselves as nonbinary, I remember an Ork questioning some Space Marines about why they called Gazghull "he" when Orks don't have a gender. Which is actually kinda fun, I like seeing non-binary species use typically gendered language in a non-gendered way
EDIT: Here we go
"But, before the prisoner’s account could continue, the Deathwatch veteran had found one more bone to pick.
‘Ghazghkull is a he,’ he grumbled, wagging a finger at Biter and receiving an uncertain grunt in reply. ‘You keep saying they,’ Hendriksen clarified, ‘but Ghazghkull is a he.’
‘But… they… he is not a man?’ said Biter, their brow-ridge creased in ¬bafflement. Falx cut in then, before another messy debate could ensue.
‘We’ve been through this, Orm. Orks have no… reproductive anatomy, and consequently no understanding of sex or gender.’
‘Some of us understand sexangender,’ interrupted Biter, keen as ever to demonstrate their unusual expertise in humans. ‘I find it all… quite funny.’
‘Silence, ork,’ Falx snapped, impatient to get back on track. ‘From now on, Ghazghkull is a he, whether it makes sense or not.’"

It's established in the books that they have no gender.
They call each other boyz in the same way we use "dude" to apply to both men and women who are our friends.
They find our concept of gender funny.
Dude and bro are examples of words that were gendered and then become non-gendered. We now use them for both genders as terms of endearment. Hell, in Old English, man is gender neutral. It actually got gendered after being originally non-gendered.
That's how Orks use boyz.
Also, keep in mind that they don't say "boys", they say a word in Low Gothic that is translated into English for our reading. No one in WH speaks English.
High Gothic sounds more like Latin in universe, which means Low Gothic probably sounds like Vulgar Latin.
So Orks are speaking something akin to Vulgar Latin and whatever word they use is being translated into "boyz" so that we can read it since Low Gothic isn't real.
