Space Marine 2 is absolutely horrible
The campaign is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Short, boring and repetitive.
The combat is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Clunky and inconsistent.
The operations are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I don't play PVP, so, automatically ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

They would have to do a lot of work to make this game feel good to play cause outside of the amazing graphics this game has ZERO redeeming qualities. What an over-hyped mediocre waste of money.

If you want a good 40k game with amazing melee and gunplay go play Darktide, it is infinitely better than SM2.

Game isn’t bad, or mid, it’s good. Unlike that joke of a dlc for cyberpunk, now that was mid tier.
not all games are overpriced some deserve it. this game DEFINITELY DOES NOT, this game is worth like 30 bucks at best. and Cyberpunk 2077 is a masterpiece a hater like you could never understand how wonderful that game is
Thank you Unknown, you have inspired me to reinstall Cyberpunk again. Think I might try to 100% it this time around. You think the DLC is worth picking up?

Its a live service game all but in name. You can tell how many directions they game has or had. If they had a great campaign on the level of boulders gate 3 I would say it would worth it. I really hate canned missions, i am just on for the ride. What we have here is a game that takes the space marine concept and drills it down to the most simplistic format. Lots of eye candy and gore, so people can go wow for five minutes. The maps are lovely as an oil painting, but they are not destructible, you cannot interact with them. No exploring its just hollow.

The game has great lore and the devs took a big dump on it. The main aim of the game or selling point was the hordes of xenos, but that will not come to the game well into next year. I am not a fan of world war Z copy cats any way. All the game's future development is for online play that shows its live service format, but sssh do not tell any one it is. Imagine if they had a open world mega game on the 40k universe with the graphics we have in this game, if done well it could be the game of year. Single player and the world of 40k has gone to the boonies.

We see games that have great concepts only to be let down by developers high sense of hubris, and not listening to the very people who buy the games. A developer said skull and bones was a AAAA game and we should pay more for it. That shows how out of touch developers are. People told them over and over again they wanted a pirate game like black flag but it was ignored. The same for Star wars Outlaws, great concept but it turned out to be Star Wars Assassin creed. I did like the female protagonist but not the constant stealth and the star citizen size maps of the worlds. it all so so sad and predictable.

We also got a look into their new offering of Assassins creed shadows, its apparently has a gay black samurai and a woman assassin as well. I know from history there was indeed a black guy who did become samurai, but that misses the point. Most people want to play in a big open world game as a samurai from japan. But that is not going to be in the game. Ubisoft share are tanking now and I wonder why.

The same goes for 'Dragon age: veil guard, pretty graphics and canned missions, it will have repeatability has bunnies at Easter. I just bought Darkside because the OP said it was a good game. So oh well its cheap at £14 so why not. I have many warhammer games. I have all three total war: Warhammer games as well. So clearly i am a fan of the Warhammer universe but Space Marine 2 to is a great disappointment for me.

you do realise these are the guys that made WWZ right? so they are copy catting themselfs?

You can admit your bad and then uninstall the game, no real ultramarine would think such heresy

This is most visual gorgeous 40k game on the market. Combine those visuals with amazing sync kills and parry animations this game has big potential.

With the right direction this could keep 40k fans going for years to come.

To the devs. Dont ♥♥♥♥ it up like HD2 please! They had 450k opening now its pitiful dont nerf melta, buff melee and others instead you can do it!

FOR THE EMPEROR!

It's kinda funny how consumer zealots have this obtuse way of looking at things. It's like the only option is to love the product or you just suck. Nah man. I get that some people are gonna like it, we are all wired differently. But graphics aside, I just did not find this game to be well done.

Such a shame with HD2. I LOVED that game, sunk 346 hours into it, but oh lawd how far it has fallen in the last few months.

It is called access media journalism, then the hamster fancoomers start just giving 10/10 for just the visuals without thinking for a second

So, you are so arrogant, that you can't compredend, that someone dislikes something you like. I played about ½ hour, and found the game to be trash. Probaly the dumbest/worst controls I have ever experienced

Lets be real here. Over priced cost, season pass, low content, scummy sale tactics. They failed right out of the gates. The moment they sold 4 days ea plus season pass I knew they do not care for the game just money.

I wouldn't say horrible, but it's painfully average and absolutely overhyped by useless reviewers. The big chunky piece of content (Operations) are very linear and boring. You spend most of your time walking and waiting for your teammates. And unfortunately this game mode does not really compare to Darktide's missions. I like the progression in Operations, but I'm not sure I will be playing them for long. I ran about 5 missions this morning and felt little incentive to play more.

The biggest problem I had with the campaign was that I couldn't properly CUSTOMIZE my Titus, so whatever I was playing felt super on-rails and unsatisfying. The story was good albeit short.

The game will eventually fall to Mostly Positive (80% currently) and I believe this is an accurate representation of the game's quality (B+).

I also want people to go play Darktide.

But I like this game too.
