The Ultramarines are Eldar in disguise. That's what the damage system tells us.

As has become clear to me, the Ultramarines chapter in Space Marines 2 consists of Eldari masquerading as Astartes. How do I know this? The damage system has revealed their guarded secrets...

In Space Marine 2, the damage system consists of a regenerating protective field, while the supposed Astartes are unable to heal their wounds over time. This is how Eldari fight, with psychic shields to compromise for their weak, slowly healing bodies.

If the supposed Ultramarines were true Astartes, we would see their armor being worn down over the course of battle, unable to self repair, while any tissue damage from penetration or poison slowly heals by way of their esteemed regenerative abilities.

Clearly the Ultramarine chapter in Space Marine 2 are Eldari in disguise!
