Crashes, black screen : source of the issue

For anyone experiencing crashes, black screen just before the main menu etc...

Easy anti cheat causes the issue if your pc runs on Windows 11.
Apparently it is a known problem (encountered by Fortnite and Eldenring players for example) and both Epic and Windows "aledgedly" are working on a fix.

There are more chances for them to take this seriously if we all adress the issue. If they don't know wer are quite a few experiencing this, they won't make it their priority. The game is great but this particular experience has been frustrating to say the least.

If i may add on, i have tried everything i could find online regarding the fix suggestions, none of them worked for me then i remembered i had similar issues with apex legends so what i did as a last resort is triggering specific windows updates and updating the motherboard's BIOS. Since then i've experienced no issues whatsoever, hopefully it'll keep on like this and hopefully it can help others knowing about that.

The devs answered to me today to acknowledge EAC and windows 11 may be the issue.
Currently trying what they advise to find a workaround.
If something ever works, i will post it here hoping to help others experiencing the same frustrating issues.

This is how I fixed it. Locate Easy Anticheat folder in your WH40K SM2 folder and delete it. After that, go to the WH40K SM2 game in your Steam client and verify game files. It will download the Easy Anticheat again. Launch the game and do nothing. It will display the black screen for about 60 seconds and the game will launch.

Thank you but sadly, i already tried this exact procedure.
It didn't work for me.

I made a report to them since im having the same issue

I used to be able to get in by spam rebooting the game 10-20 times but ever since the hotfix its just non stop never ending black screen

It is exactly what is happening to me. It's infuriating.
Since the patch i couldn't get to the main menu once and i tried like a madman.

THANK YOU BROTHER for reporting it to the devs. We need them to acknowledge this issue and this is the only way.

There is something new : when it crashed at launch just a minute ago, I had a notification "easy anticheat violation detected 00002"
Has it happened for you as well ?

nope I wish I got an error code whenever I crashed would give me something to go off of

Yeah I made my research on it, you don't want it believe me. Easy Anticheat is a plague. There is no real fix. Only hope is the devs find a work around.

I had a friend spam invite me and doing so I was able to bypass the credits I got as far as loading shaders but it would just load forever

I've installed the game in an M.2 drive (2800 MB/s write speed, 3500 MB/s read speed, more than enough).

My setup is:
Video card: Nvidia RTX 2080 Super
Processor: Intel i7 9700F
RAM: 32 GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming

I can only get past the first cinematic, I play literally 2 or 3 seconds and the game crashes. Sometimes it even crashes in the menu. I'm pretty sure my setup is decent enough. I've also tried all of the "fixes": updating drivers, running as administrator, running in compatibility mode, disabling overlays, etc etc. Nothing worked.

I have the same exact issue and I suspected it was due to Epic's anti cheat.

I had this exact problem as well, it happened while I was trying to load into the first mission, so yeah, I have so far not been able to get into the first mission at all.
