I would not buy anytrhing with season pass or future content promise because the gameplay does not currently seem to be representative of a game that will have a long lifespan.
Later in September on patch day, the value of each edition may be made clearer.
The base edition. Everything else is cosmetic.
And also not worth the money because for some people the game doesn't even run properly (or at all!)
I've been playing since full launch and I only had 1 issue getting into a MP game and that was on day 1 of the full launch. Sounds like a you issue there, bub.
@OP
Just by the base version. If you don't care much for the pvp/coop then the campaign is about 6-10 hours long depending on the difficulty you play at(the devs recommend hard, which takes most people around 8 hours). No sense buying the season pass until the content it promises actually comes out imo.
It's not a long game but it truly is a spectacle. The visual feast alone is amazing imo. I don't know how blind you're going into the game as so I don't' wanna describe anything. This game actually has pre-rendered cutscenes though, which is something I haven't seen in a game in a while at this point.
I mean, it runs fine on medium settings on my 980ti (with only a minimum of stutters in cutscenes) but yeah, I am slightly disappointed I didn't spend more time looking at the season pass stuff before dropping the extra cash. Cash SM1 was a better game, and I don't think I'll spend much time playing SM2 in MP to justify the season pass and special edition.
