Anyone plan on making a mod to turn off blood and gore?

I know the dismemberment is a big part of the executions, but turning off the blood effects at least would be nice. I get why its in the game, but for a lot of us its just unnecessary. I would think a simple setting to turn it off or lower it would exist for performance reasons, but I guess that's not high on their list.

I know Its space marine sure, but I'd still like to turn it off just on personal preference. I wanna play as a space marine for the armor, for equipment, and for the emperor. Its one of the only games out there where you can play as a space marine with friends. the blood's just a little over the top, and I'd rather not have it in. even just for performance.
Its either a mod, or just wait for Space marine 3 against the Necrons i guess.

It's hard to say. People have widescreen ones already that only work offline due to EAC. It'll defintely be a thing for people trying to optimize but god only knows. You're stepping on your own toes going into a WH game expecting none or a option too. Its a very violent franchise...its like going into gears of war wanting no gore. Best of luck dude.

Its not like warhammer is a franchise about blood and gore. the franchise is a dark future with big armored space marines fighting xenos alongside giant mechs and shouting fanfare. blood isnt a part of it, its just because its a pretty violent setting that theres a lot of it. I'd just rather it be toned down, I'm not of the stomach for it. and if anything that would probably help my pc run the game.

Me and my friends like warhammer and space marines, but the gores a bit much. I've seen a few different threads on here asking the same thing, and all got pretty much your response. all i want to know was if someone was planning on modding it out. Its not like blood is a game feature, its just a visual effect. let me rip through xeno without splashing gallons of blood on myself and everwhere

there is already a mod that makes the blood effects on your armor last much longer etc so it would be possible to make a mod that just shortens the time enough that it never appears but that would make Khorne very upset XD

now that i think about it 40k IS a franchise about blood and gore, there is not a single book that i have read that doesnt have someone being blown apart by bolter fire, gutted with a bayonet or ripped apart screaming by literal demons from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell, and ive read over a 100 books. you just need to toughen up my friend

While I don't agree with your reasoning, I do agree it should be a feature. Not for your reasons but one off the top of my head could be for performance for players on lower end machines. I'm sure with these effects not being used essentially turned off, it could give those who can barely run the game be able to run it better. However, I don't think it should be turned off in pvp where it may give players an advantage over those who don't want to turn it off.

I would concede that to you, as i havent read any books. I'm not a hardcore warhammer fan compared to most of you, but I like the theme. I like marines and all that but the gores a lil much for me. Its just a shame its like that, and there arent many games like Space marine.

Aint nothing wrong with not liking blood or gore, but this just isnt the game for that. just wanted to see if there were mods.

To answer OPs question, you can turn off the graphical option that covers your marines in "gore" for performance. Settings > Video > Effects > "Low".
