PvP party size darkness

So what is the freaking issue with this new industry standard of limiting most multiplayer experiences to 3 man parties?!
Me and my whole social circle just got the game thinking like its a 6 v 6 squad pvp mode finally a game where you can play fully with all of your friends by your side like gears of war and similar good OG titles and what do we come to find 3 man limited party.
WHY? JUST WHY?!
