Are you sure it's Easy Anti Cheat causing the hitching and stuttering? I've used EAC in other games like Apex Legends and For Honor, and I haven't experienced any of these issues there.
I have tried using DDU to completely clear and then reinstall the graphics drivers.
I have tried disabling all background "apps" in Windows.
I have tried disabling Selective USB deactivation in the power plan settings.
I have tried setting Windows 10 into "gaming mode" (Settings > Gaming > Gaming Mode).
I have tried shutting off Discord.
I have tried setting all in-game options to low.
I have tried this Windows Registry edit I found on Nexus Mods[www.nexusmods.com] which allows for the Space Marine 2 .exe file to run at higher priority.
And so far it hasn't helped. It's gotten less stuttery, but the stuttering persists.
30 frames per second?
No. Just no. I might come off as a pretentious buffoon when saying this, but 30 frames is for console plebs. At most I'll try and limit it to 60, anything below is straight up unacceptable. But I'll give frame limiting a shot and see if it works.
Yeah, it sucks but it helped with the stuttering for me and made the game playable again.
The only solution I found is just having one controller and everything else disconnected (Mic works fine, but I'm not allowed to have a mouse / keyboard or headset).
It's a pain in the ass, but at least I can play without the constant stuttering and input loss until the game is patched.
I am afraid to say it has NOT solved my issue. :(
While I also have an Xbox controller adapter, I don't have it plugged in, and haven't had it plugged in the entire time I've played Space Marine 2. so I doubt it's that particular issue for me. :(
Unfortunately I need all of mine, and I won't be unplugging them. If I can't get it resolved soon I will be asking for a refund.
We could fix it by disabling USB-Power saving in Windows.
1. Hit the WINDOWS key
2. Type "Power Options"
3. click the "Change plan settings" link for the plan you're currently using. (If you change the settings on the power plan that isn't active, this won't work)
4. click on "Change advanced power settings"
5. scroll down to "USB settings"
6. Expand "USB selective suspend setting"
7. Select "Disabled" from the drop-down menu
8. Click "Apply"
That should resolve the stuttering and input loss.
Let me know if it worked for you :)
