Health restore on executions
It'd be neat to have some health restoration after performing an execution.

You do get it on white health. They want you to prioritize regen.

Contested Health lasts TWO seconds without the Bulwark's passive. With the Bulwark's passive it lasts 3.5. That's it.

If you lost your shield and health to a stunlock, good luck getting 'any' health back because you're going to spend anywhere from half a second to a full second just standing back up.
It doesn't unless your not fighting. You heal with each swing. It sounds like you panic and start running then lose HP. Also I have perks on my classes that give everyone health back on execution.

I have. Still don't see the issue. Your supposed to avoid damage with the 4 universal mechanics they gave you to do so. Not to mention additional class perks/abilities.
You must be talking about the perk that restores 1% of your health on executing terminus enemies? Or perhaps the perk that reduces your armor regen delay by 0.5 seconds per kill from 25 SECONDS. You're either lying about playing on ruthless or you're delusional if you thing the basic aspects of the game don't fall apart at the seams when you're getting elites thrown at you that take upwards of 12 melee attacks to put into the executable phase all while you're dodging multiple ranged enemies and trash. Also to add insult to injury, classes that rely on ammo are completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on these difficulties due to ammo being even more scarce forcing you to play around melee classes to funnel ammo to one person.

You literally cannot comprehend that you can't "just swing" in difficulties of substantial and up, you are just outright lying. If you "just swing" you will be downed in a matter of seconds by ranged attacks/melee spam.

No i'm talking about unmatched zeal perk.
You named 2 difficulty levels.
sounds like your playing them under leveled which is why your having issues.
If your playing with a fencing weapon and not a block weapon hordes and elites die very quickly in like 2 parries and maybe a few hits. Fencing weapons make most of the melee a joke since they destroy what ever your fighting. The highest tier elites do that quit a few hits they might as well be mini boss. But once again a fencing weapon makes them all clowns. Most of the time I see ranged classes carrying with 15k damage or more. They far out damage everyone else.

Thats why they give you two guns. If your buddies are taking ammo from you idk why they didn't just switch weapons and only prioritize ranged threats. Ranged classes should be the only one constantly shooting. All the perks of being leveled and picking the right weapons and perks make the content feel pretty smooth. I was only speaking about the Substantial threat which is one of the ones you mentioned.

I'm not playing on ruthless because despite having early access to the game my characters are not ready for it. There is leveling and perk building to test before I walk into end game level content. Which it sounds like you did.

So no, im not lying. I'm playing the game smart and the way they intended. Substantial threat is not hard by any means. I wouldn't walk in there at level one with white weapons and bad game mechanics though.

I mean do you want to watch me play the game? I use a fencing weapon and I have no problem trading in melee combine with dodge parry and pistol shot.

When did I say mash swing like your chewing on the controller. I already said you will lose some health but overall you should be quite healthy if you combine the game mechanics.

There's plenty of high level play available online.

Roll-slop and melta spam just doesn't look - or play - that impressive.

This isn't an E-Sport. These discussions shouldn't even be happening. This is just a casual co-op where you get to be a Space Marine for a few hours.

The game doesn't have any mechanics though.

You have a dodge and parry, and three flavors of QTEs.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by all of the excellent melee-orientated games that have released over the last decade?

I don't use melta meta. I haven't upgraded my melta yet nor used it. The low ammo count has made me worried about relying on it.

I agree it is a casual game. I beat it the first day and then hoped into co-op and have been having a relaxed laid back time. I'm just wondering what everyone is complaining about. It's a fairly straight forward and easy to understand game.
When you get health damage, some part of the bar becomes white, and it lasts for like 5-7 secs. If you do the execution in that time frame the health would be restored

Perfect dodge. Perfect Parry. Ult. Pistol shot. Melee stun. Cleave, AOE. execution, and various perk mechanics. Most likely you are spoiled by them. I know I am. That's why I find the game so easy to understand. I spent hundreds of hours playing melee games. Those and strategy games are my favorites. I enjoy this game as much as them.
