The think is the Instigater is so good at head shots, it makes the charging in redundant. Kind of killing the concept of the class. Why grapple in when 1 more head shot will finish off the target?
With the melta gun the synergy of needing to get close and grappling in works perfectly, it feels like the old Mass Effect class which I think was called Vanguard too.
With the instigater, you just have an amazing weapons, that would be amazing in most classes - and in the hands of a the tactical class would be amazing and very punchy.
I can see how this weapon is god-tier in PvP.
Fair enough, I suppose that I would prefer them to lean into the concept and others want them to compensate and give balance to the concept of the class.
To give them another option to lean into there class skill, A shotgun could have a smaller cone but more powerful. Or smaller cone but greater range.
Whilst it is great the instigated fills a weakness of the class, but it means you then play the class like the tactical class and if your are going to do this you may as well play the Tactical class, which is better at this style of game play.
I take the ranged damage after grapple perk, grapple in, shoot them in the face then execute. It's lots of fun.
