Zoanthrope's laser hitting through walls - Devs please fix this
This keeps happening, i'm hiding behind a wall and the laser beam hits me through the cement wall. Extremely annoying when its so inconsistent. Some walls stop the beam and some walls dont.

Please fix this devs, I dont want to lose an OPS mission unless its due to lack of skill, which this is not. Zoans hitting you through walls just feels cheap and obnoxious..

I beat every operation on Lethal at least 4 times, sweatlords can cry if they want, but this game is fundamentally broken in certain places.

Which is weird not through all walls, am mostly shocked about 2 lasers in a row attack. Who though it is a good idea ? Or sometimes you get 4 lasers in a row from 2 zoanthropes
And they all stunlock you and make you take ALL the damage coming your way. The one shielding the other should not be able to attack players.
The sniper-ish venom cannon warriors also do 2 attacks at random. Unless you can predict it, it charges in a fraction of the time of the normal attacks

Brother i had 5 of them spawn IN A ROW. And people will still tell you "get gud bruv"
Multiple whiny posts about it not being hard enough. Do it with basic weapons, then. Don't use primaries. Leave medkits and relics behind.
So many ways they could make it what they want. But no, the devs need to hardcode it in so they can be the 1% of mommies special boys club

I wasn't sure if that was a feature or a bug. Glad to know it's a bug. No pun intended.

I thought thats the purpose of the lasers, an attempt to "prevent" cheesing them?

They don't go down so no melee damage, they can be immune to damage when in pairs, they have very big range. They can spawn on top of a horde and other specials.

I think we have enough anti-cheese attributes

Hey put the gun down, i agree with you on that xD

Does anyone else find those beams harder to dodge than the neurothrope ones?

I heard talk somewhere that they gave Zoan beams the Neuro hitboxes, hence why they are so hard to dodge. But personally I feel the Zoan ones are actively worse, they almost seem to follow you while the Neuro ones go in a straight, if wide line.

I player for 100+ hours of inferno exclusively before 4.0 patch. and played a lot more since. I didn't noticed any change in hit boxes. I can only confirm from my experience that they made them a lot more aggressive and increased their attack speed. And of course i had maybe 2 in a run before, now i get at least 4
Agree. Some shadowy changes were made to them.

Zoan beam hitbox for me is actually wider than virtual, but not as wide as tri-beam. I always have hard time to dodge, let alone more than one beam that can easily kill you. I agree that I also have better time to dodge Neuro tri-beam than Zoan.

TBH, Zoan is the worst design ever over all. Easily earn a seat in hall of most cheap design enemy.

The amount of things these floaty bugs have going for them is ridiculous.

Huge hp pool.
Alternating shield that swaps when you do to much damage making them even tankier.
They sidestep dodge alot, multiple times in a row, as if they even needed this.
They spam orbs like crazy that stunlock and shoot 2-4 times.
Extremely short delay between their attacks.
They can attack you at the same time, making dodging their attacks impossible.
They can go inside or behind each others shield making them invincible until they decide to move.
Beam does almost entire hp bar on Lethal, knocks you back and has a follow up.
I've actually been one shot from max hp by it, since it can sometimes hit you multiple times with the single beam if it hits you at a weird angle.
Beam hitting you through walls.

And of course, can't be hit by melee, because devs say ♥♥♥♥ Assault and Bulwark.
Because how silly would it be for an Astartes with a FREAKING JETPACK to be able to hit a flying bug with his hammer?

Personally I love when they double cast the laser. Not both using it, one shooting it then instantly shooting it again on the first frame after the laser ends that way you dodge the first and get caught by the second.

This is one of the most infuriating bugs in the game. Which also happens with the snipers, to a lesser extent.

Also one other thing that makes me mad is when the ***thrope's beams go through a platform or a floor, they become completely invisible.
Reaka Oct 27, 2024 @ 12:51am
last game, i got surrounded i parried the fools in front of me, then staggered by the fools behind me, got hit with the 3 hit combo from the first flying bug then the 2nd finished me off with a beam for the K.O !
fun times xD
Stinkie Pie Oct 27, 2024 @ 12:59am
Also the expanding shock waves can hit through walls making dodging impossible so at least they are consistent.
