Thoughts on new Bolter weapons buffs
To me they seem lazy, a slight damage buff isn't enough in my opinion. A more comprehensive rework would have been nice, like changes to accuracy, recoil, ammo, range etc.

Sniper for example, why would I choose something other then the Laser Fusil or sniper rifle? the stalker is alright but the carbine doesn't even have a scope and both are downgrades.

Sure we should test it first before asking for more changes but I just wanted to see if anyone else feels the same.

If you want to play that close quarters ninja style. I've seen quite a few snipers doing that and doing it well.

I will look into that, but I like to snipe as the sniper and get the majoris to red so my team can finish them while also being able to slip in and revive the fallen. in my opinion they need to rework a lot of perks and even weapon perks as well as the weapons themselves.

I simply do not think they have the manpower to do all the work, so any buffs are welcome.

I think people who can't aim for the head are still going to say they're bad even if you give them a 50% damage increase.

I don't really have a problem with how the bolters handle. They just do too little damage in the time you have to apply it and use too much ammo. Increasing damage should help with both issues. Without testing them, we won't know how much the increase will help.

While I do like that, it kinda remains to be seen how effective that will be.

Honestly Bolters should be able to tear up the hordes, but should be weaker against Marjoris and higher enemies. Right now, pre patch they're not good against anything really. Plasma should be less effective against Hordes but very effective against Majoris and higher.

Bolt Pistol is more effective than many of them are which is crazy.

Melta is short range currently but generally those are used against armored and vehicles as well. I think they used the Melta to replace the Flamer which what is normally used against horde mobs so they didn't have to bother with balancing it. Because right now the Melta functions more like a Flamer.

Bolt pistol have almost the same damage per round as heavy bolter plus good headshot perks.

Hopefully they buff the class/gun perks as-well that can also make bolt weapons better.

It's not even lore accurate for sake of game mechanic. When not go further and make each of them more unique and interesting to use.

For me some are unique enough like Las vs Stalker. But other bolter seem to have very similarity problem.

Stalker Bolt will be crazy good. Grenade Bolt needed a nerf but I get they cant do it now because of insane riots at the sight of the word "nerf". Chunky buffs to Auto and Heavy Bolt will do for now. IMO these two weapons needed some buffs to headshot multiplier and/or ammo economy because they drain your ammo during majoris encounters. Have to try them out. Hopefully they are in a good spot now because I love their design.

Melta will stay braindead cause how it's easy to restore contested health with. Tho i prefer bolters still.

Bolters have a trade off with the other ranged weapons of you having more ammo. The buffs are all it needed, if it becomes too op then what about the melta and plasma with the lower ammo count?

I agree brother. I want to use a different primary other than plasma weapons.

Tyranid warrior have something around 330 hp on ruthless, and with a buff relic dmage variant of Heavy Bolt rifle will deal something around 15 head damage which will result in 22 - 23 head shots kill instead of 25-26 as it is right now. Chunky buff? No - more like minor.
