How to deal with tyranid melee warriors?
How to counter these guys? I mostly struggle dealing with these bullet sponges with every class.

Starting from substantial I just can't disengage most of the time when there is one on me.

They block most ranged damage and latch on to you and combo you down, you dodge roll away injured or mostly in a wall how these tunnel levels are laid out or try to parry their melee combo timely and you die anyway the next attack. Don't forget most of the time there's other ♥♥♥♥ whittling your hp away.

I notice the other teamies have problems too because it's high chance that it's an unexpected mission failure when more of these are around. This dark soulish combat is really grinding on my nerves. One moment you feel you're contributing and doing well and the second these show up it's like running around headless wading in a morass of chaff.

I don't have much problems with raveners, lictors and the odd carnifex, just these ruin most sessions especially the whip and sword guys.

parry... it makes them die so much quicker.

Well might be stupid to say but hit them until they hit you then parry and gunstrike them. Rinse repeat untill no baddies left!

Use grenades like Flag or Krak against them, another good weapon are all Plasma weapons fully charged. Even the double bone swords cannot block these weapons.

Meanwhile snipers and heavies are 1-2 shotting these things, sometimes multiples at a time.

Bullet sponges, right. Have you tried aiming for the head or using a non trash weapon? My heavy bolt pistol will kill them in 5 hits on my assault.

Why on earth would you disengage from a single warrior? There is no faster way to kill a warrior than parrying and gunstriking him (unless you're a sniper/heavy). A single warrior coming to fight you is literally free iframes and a bar of armor.

You just let the enemy fight you on your terms? You don't stagger them? You don't try and seize any advantage you can get? Bro... if you were complaining about the whip variants I might cut you some slack, but regular warriors are giving you this much trouble?

Use your eyes, watch them. Not your self.

When they pull their arms back, get ready to hit the parry button.

Not all attacks have a parry/dodge circle.

USE your dang eye balls

If they are blocking hit them with a heavy attack to open them up or stagger them. You can then get a couple of light attacks in. Very important though is parry and parry and parry some more. The ones with two swords are especially easy to parry because of how telegraphed their sword swings are blue circle or not. The whip ones take a little more practice in my experience but know when the ones with the whip attack with the first strike there is always a quick second follow up. Parry that too. Don't be shy with your parry button pressing. If you see swings coming in and are surrounded start mashing parry. You're not penalized for missed or multiple inputs. You can parry multiple strikes and does not matter if you are facing the enemy or not. Once you are money with the parry timing then you can selectively parry away.

This is the best advice I can give - choot em.

Nah man, we gotta nuke them from space, only way to be sure.

Heavy melee should break their guard. If it doesn't, they'll attack you and you can Parry/gunstrike

I donno bro I could be surrounded by 40 warriors and I don't think I'd have an issue. They're pretty easy. Just parry and dodge at the right time and they basically kill themselves.

Good advice, but also with the whip ones (can't recall if this applies to the sword ones) if you parry the first attack and don't parry the second, they will attack a third time and if you parry that one you can still get a gunstrike out of it. If you parry the first two there is no third attack.

It does if you use a thunder hammer.

The game ask you to parry their attack brother. Not only when you see the blue indicator, but every attack that didn't have orange marker (or range) can be parry.

Watch their move, when they about to attack, lunge, raise their hand and you don't see the orange indicator - parry it. When it struggle and show red marker - it's time to use gun strike back. But just don't do it right away if their are more Majoris around you. Since gun strike leave you open for a hit. Wait for a moment to see it clear to land a shot or not.

Keep it up brother, you can do it.
