Thoughts on Lethal mode and 150+ hours of slaying alien scum
Just finished all 7. We had no troubles, one shot each mission - only 2 deaths total.

I've lurked on Reddit and am shocked how many people are having trouble with ALL difficulty levels this patch. There is definitely some who just need to "get good" and learn mechanics, attack patterns, etc.

I've also tried Average, Substantial, and Ruthless and they all feel the same as they did. You're pretty much immortal if you are parrying with fencing weapons. I bet they nerfed dodge roll because you're supposed to be parrying.

Anyway, my thoughts on Lethal:

+ Scale and variety of enemies up, I like feeling completely overwhelmed
+ More interesting spawns, being ambushed by 3 Lictors is awesome

- Coherency totally sucks, only thing that needs to be nerfed (preferably removed)
- Tactical with GL is a must, still busted OP. They shouldnt nerf it though. Team comp is important at Lethal level.
- Neanthrope beam is busted.

I really just want to see Coherency totally out of the game - it is working against the class design of Assault, vanguard, and sniper. Playing tightly stacked is fun, but I also enjoy my solo clutch moments.

Its good enemy health is not increased in Lethal - but I think they should ramp up spawns / enemies on screen even more. Difficulty should come from that imo,

Also @SABER (can u hear me, omnissiah?) I would love if the Bots in Ops used the skins/looks of my other classes. Now that I have the whole roster pimped out :)

Really appreciate your voice, brother. It's great to hear amidst the whining trillions.

I just tried my first Lethal yesterday, did OK, but we wiped (one dude final died like three times). It was intense though, very much a challenge for me, which is great.

I like the idea of needing to stay in a group, it feels awesome and realistic. But I hear you about wanting to be able to slay solo sometimes without penalty. Any ideas how the grouping mechanic could work, then? Maybe an incentive, but not a penalty? Wouldn't that shame snipers though for being apart?

That's a cool idea. Customise your own bot squad and your own classes at the same time.

They should remove the coherency and revert back to how the game launched where you only got armour back via executions or class perks, maybe until they come up with something else that doesn't work against class design

I think lethal does need to be dumbed down. I have completed 5/7 on lethal with pugs, but for some reason the pugs I get for Inferno and Ballistic engine are awful. I have tried Inferno at least 18 times with pugs. Almost every damn time people just run off on their own and die at the part where you have to search the guardsmen's bodies for the codes.
