Red-eyed Hormaguants
Some of these Hormaguants charge at me with bright red glowing eyes. Does anyone know if the red eyes mean anything? Right now I'm assuming the red eyed Hormagaunts fight more aggressively. :Boyz:

Certain other larger Tyranid enemies can cause Hormagaunts and Termagants to become frenzied. When in this state, these enemies are more aggressive and do more damage.

They have adrenal glands, they take more damage from synapse burnout (majoris+ deaths) but are otherwise staggered less (they will keep trying to attack you if you light attack them)

Angy nids is angy :D
I honestly did not know what it did before seeing Dr Rockso's comment, I only thought they became more aggressive xD

Thanks for the answers! That explains why some survived and others didn't when I killed a Warrior :chainsaw:

Bingo.

Honestly, I largely ignore the red-eyed ones on principle (or at least don't go out of my way to thin them out). They will die as soon as I get rid of the actual threat in a couple of seconds.

I've been doing this for all Tyranids minors (Unless no warrior is present). The Warriors are way more dangerous/annoying and taking them out is a two in one really

empowered. Either there is a warrior or a zoanthrope near that you need to kill and they'll either die or lose that empowerment. In short, kill the big baddies first, when you can, then focus on the little nids.

BTW marking those enemies will not count towards the achievement "Purge them all". as they count as a normal Hormaguant
