4.0 Update won't allow me to play any Operations games or connect online.

I been already having issues with Eternal War where I get stuck on a black screen once I load into the game where I can't play, but now I can't play any game modes because it won't connect me to any online servers... I tried verifying my files and restarting both my computer and the game.

Please tell me I am not the only one experiencing this. Because I feel like I been taking apart my computer's internal system just to figure this issue out because I been having issues of this since day 1 of buying the game and I feel like it's just getting worse and worse.

I likewise can't connect to any servers tonight. Though I might not be the best data point, I still haven't found a fix for my glacially long load times (5+ minutes to start the game) meaning something is likely wrong with my setup somewhere

Update...

Now I get a black screen in both Eternal War and Operations... I was able to semi-reconnect online but now I just got met with a black screen...

you're not alone, there's probably a problem with the game server.
I'm also stuck at the black loading screen and the loading bar doesnt even move from the 'Joining Server' state, while it usually moves past it pretty fast previously...

UPDATE AGAIN!

Now I can't even play solo campaign! I am stuck in a black screen in almost every game mode! Now I am just upset because I already was dealing with issues of the game crashing when I first got it. Issues just keep coming up over and over!

Try disabling crossplay in the main menu. Restart your game if necessary.

Yup, same here. I've tried verifying my game data, clearing the steam cache, turning off crossplay, and even tried the walk 10 steps forward during ops thing but nothing seems to work.

I think it's worth noting that during the initial load into the Battle Barge, I do get a disconnected notice, but still load into Barge. The error message was something about connection issues, so possibly a server-side problem?

Update: I also tried loading into Eternal War for the first time, it started loading, reached about 75% then crashed out of the game.

I'm having the same issue. When initially loading after "loading resources" is done, there's a moment where it just reads "disconnected" and then starts the loading process over. When I get into the game, it gives me a notice that the online servers are disconnected.

That being said, I'm also running into the same issue where trying to play the campaign with no online play just results in a black screen after the battle barge loading. I've let it try to load on that screen for 30+ minutes and still nothing. Tried all the recommended options so guess I'm sitting tight till they fix another bugged-out patch. Can't go a month without running into stuff like this. Suppose I have my older computer to blame but I meet all the minimums.

After you get the pop up, when you are on the battle barge, exit to title screen and reload it. It shouldn't display a new pop up and you should be able to play.

Turn off crossplay then exit to main menu and load back in every time to server says "Disconnected" works every time
