4k texture pack worth getting without a 4k monitor?
Just wondering if i should bother downloading it.

Not really. You’ll barely notice any difference, and it might even make your game more blurry (I’ve seen 4K images appear blurry on a 1920x1080 monitor). In my experience with photos, it actually worsens image quality.

Would it be different for a game engine? I’m not sure, but since the monitor’s resolution can’t fully display the extra detail, the effect likely isn’t worth it, especially considering the extra space and power needed to run 4K textures on a 1080p screen.

Just add sharpness. Most monitors now have an option like that.

Nope

4K textures have nothing to do with the monitor resolution itself. People like McDinglefart have no understanding of anything.

Even if you play on 720p you see a significant quality increase and detail on specific textures especially with things like DLSS.
Just keep in mind it takes a lot of VRAM, but you get the best image quality possible.

As I mentioned in my comment, I noticed lower quality in photos when using 4K images on a 1080p display. However, I also mention that I'm not sure if it works same in game engines for games.

I don't see any difference. Nothing significant that you could achieve with some extra sharpness at least. (but I suspect image quality provided in that site is total crap/seems like low quality jpeg images)

Lol? 😅 You don't know nothing about texture in general XD this is a texture pack, even on a 720p will look so much better, the monitor resolution its totally another thing, pictures are totally different story, you know this is a game, and not a static frame, and you know it's rendered in real time?, many games use very high texture res from standard for example, above the rendered resolution ofc
