Terminus on Minimal Difficulty!?
I just ran into a Neurothrope on Inferno on Minimal diff while grinding the Occulus Bolt!

Isn´t that a bit to harsh for newcomers or when you start with a new Level 1 class?

What is harsh about it exactly?

Would it not be good practice for when you have to deal with them on the higher difficulties?

why is it harsh? campaign literally has one as a tutorial

Depends on player level I think. Never saw one spawn unless there was a 15+ player in the team. Of course that was with the pre-4.0 spawns Oo

Terminus not extremis.
Johnno Oct 18, 2024 @ 12:07pm
So now we need a difficulty below minimal, with no extremis and no terminus enemies.
And only one majoris enemy per group?

Neurothropes are not extremis enemies, they are terminus enemies. AFAIK they could always appear on minimal, they were just very rare.

no majoris. only gaunts, and less of them, in chaos marine levels too.

we must remove any challenge from this product so my grandmother can play with the squad.

Terminus encounters aren't scripted and are a coin toss. Still, they are balanced around the difficulty of your choice. Meeting one in T2 at level 5 isn't that different than one in T1 at level 1.

I know you are being sarcastic but that is a good idea, if grandma loves 40k but cannot keep up, it would still give her a way to play. More options are a good thing, but i do not condone changing what we have all willy nilly.

We need a trivial mode with no enemies where player can just hop around hand-in-hand with bunnies and smell the flowers.

How about a custom mission director where you can toggle stuff on and off, and the amount of XP/rewards changes depending on what you add. A certain level must be met so that armour data servo skulls spawn, terminus enemies are a toggle, etc.

Nothing is too harsh for this sweatlord community. The answer is always the same “lOwEr tHe DiFfiCuLtY hurr durr”. It’s all they know. Oh and also the money they spent was more important than what you spent.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. Wait a few months after a new game releases, see how it plays by watching or talking to others. Maybe even start asking for demo versions, we really should go back to games have demos so people can try them before buying.

calling better players “sweatlords” is cringe. nobody is sweating. people are simply better at video games.

improve skill or lower the difficulty.

The way I see it, either test difficulties 1-4 again to find the one YOU find fun and enjoy or keep repeating yourself thread after thread.

No one says you're not supporting the Emperor enough if you're not on Lethal or Ruthless. You are imposing that limitation on yourself.
