Its not a nerf its a straight up buff. You can wait till the last second to parry and its 100% perfect every time.
Melee Archetypes: Fencing weapons' perfect parry window will now have the same duration as balanced weapons but it will start from the first frame of parry animation.
Is it? I've only been able to play one game so far. Timings definitely feel off. I'll have to check it out more. I've seen a lot of comments tot he contrary however.
It's still easier to react with fencing, since it doesn't have the delay like Balanced. I guess your decision if you value that enough.
It's probably just a case of relearning the timings. But definitely feels like you can start a parry late and still get it, which is kind of nice. But starting one early gets you whacked more often than not :D.
I main sniper class and went fencing for the increased parry window and less damage. If the parry time is the same but the timing is different there is absolutely no reason to choose "fencing" over "balanced". Especially when you take the damage cut with fencing.
After having played it on a few matches. It doesn't feel like it was nerfed. You can parry a bit slower than before and still get it off with a fencing weapon. Biggest issue is if you're used to parrying early. Still feels like fencing is worth it. Just not the default pick anymore.
