What I like about hammer is a stunning slam.
Several times I killed Zoanthropes under the platform just slamming the ground.
As to stomping it is fine, but it is WARHAMMER gaming I adore ))
Playing assault feels so dangerous for me as it is really hard to recover HP unlike Bulwark or vanguard?
Yeah I guess so, besides sniper that I don't like. I like Playing assault but I feel more of a bot in usefulness due to the low damage I can output because I am so scared in going down.
But is really fun when you clutch a revive when you lure away a horde then double jump pack to revive your team mates. (lured them at the third platform in inferno, then Jump pack to the first platform)
I was thinking of really trying chainsword out with it. I love chainsword on other characters. Nice quick swings. Easy to react to any dodges. Much more of a defensive type offense(if that makes sense). You won't be crushing any damage numbers like with thunder hammer, but would be really nice 1 on 1 vs majoris and extremis.
I don't want to sound elitist or do the typical git gud comment, but if you are having low damage output on your assault it is more of a you problem. With thunder hammer your damage numbers should look great compared to anything other than a tactical that does constant grenade launcher attacks.
Use your jumping mobility, gun strike armor regen is your friend, do wide sweeping attacks, and land heavies when openings present themselves.
Oh no, I hope not. Right now to get it to work it takes work. Once you understand the class and get a feel for it you can dominate any engagement with it. The high risk high reward play style of it is part of what makes it so fun and challenging to play.
I don't want it turned into a one button brainless I win class.
You can take out a ranged Nid or Rubric in a single slam + 1 swing, and personally I use Pride in Duty perk, as I find charging midair too dangerous in lethal and the quick damage is great for quickly assasinating 2 problematic mobs.
Been using all 3 weapons with it, and I do find the Chainsword better for fighting ranged majoris mobs due to the the heavy attacks having alot of forward momentum tracking, especially good for Nids since they love to back hop alot.
Though I usually engage ranged mobs with pistol headshots if my slam is on cd, wailing on them in melee and hoping they do a parryable attack can be dangerous if other ranged are still alive.
But Hammer is cooler and seems much better for dealing with minoris and even packs of majoris throwing in a big aoe right before a parry is nice.
And prepping a big charge attack into a spawning Chaos group is very fun.
Thanks for the update. Oh man here's hoping they don't blow the class up.
