Extremely low FPS suddenly

I bought this game on release and it ran fine for months but all of a sudden it started running horribly. My FPS drops down to 15-20 and pretty much stays there. If it helps, I am on the Mission Voidsong. Up until yesterday, I played the single player campaign and PVP for months without issue.

Changing/lowering the graphics settings does nothing, as well. Does anyone have any advice? I've googled this and people seem to blame it on a recent patch but no one can offer a solution that works.

Specs: CPU: i7 8700K 3.7 GHz GPU: Nvidia 2070 RAM 32GB

I realize my specs aren't top class anymore but considering the game was running well until now I doubt they are the issue.

Yeahp, bought the game yesterday on sale - literally dropping from 30 to 15 frames on lowest settings with a frame limit. Somethings happened to optimisation

I had a great experience on the campaign for the last couple of days no real issues I had one game crash and my pc crashed once (might have been a pc issue) , started the operations mode after I finished and Im constantly running into lag/stuttering even while in the base before starting a mission. it stutters every few seconds constantly

I have that problem too, I pre-ordered it and on release i did have some problems like stuttering/fps drop but that was like 2 sec and that happend sometimes, i had 60 fps but now only 13-15 fps( if you wanna know, i have amd 5 5600x and 1080 ti i know its old but gets the job done) really wanted to play it again but well what can i do, i play something else until its fixed or i get a new gpu

Nope, I set the FPS LIMIT to 60 and that helped for about 20 minutes and then it went back down to near constant 20 FPS..

For me the only improvement i got was from downgrading driver to amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.10.37.10-win10-win11-sep5-rdna where it now utilizes my gpu like it should but still bad lows , so cpu still doesn't seem perfect. 7900 xtx 5800x3d. Lows go to like 50s which doesn't seem normal.

If it run fine before and it started to behave diferently, then something changed... Have you done any new drivers or windows updates? I've recently heard that some new update on win11 made issues for example. Also make sure to check your thermals.

I do not have Windows 11 but I did recently update my GPU drivers so I will downgrade them and see if that helps, thanks.

It turns out you were right. The latest NVIDIA Graphics drivers screwed up my game. I uninstalled and went back to the October 1 drivers and now my game runs at a consistent 60 fps. Thanks, Ichi-niiPL

You thanked the wrong person but you're welcome. Also you're positive it never drops below 60 even at busy intense scenes with lots of enemies? Im wondering if im already bottlenecked with a 5800x3d or if its game optimization

You mean you had a short freeze for some seconds ?
If so, I started experiencing this since yesterday, I dont know what I did or happened but this never happened before for me.

This "2 sec stuttering", you mean your game froze for 2 seconds ?

Nah my game def dips below 60 and stutters every now and again but I'll take this happily over the horrid performance I was getting before.

Played about 20 hours the last few days, gradually got worse. Today playing as a sniper, the game is almost unplayable. The last few months were flawless, now its so bad, the game isnt fun.
