Crashes on "seizure warning" screen

game crashes when starting the game and getting to the "seizure warning". does anyone know a fix or cause for this?

Same. Restarting the PC seemed to get me to the "press enter to continue" screen but would then freeze there. A few restarts later and still can't the game to load.

Note: The game seemed to be running fine earlier this morning.

The game was warning that it was about to have a seizure, perhaps?

my game froze on the opening cutscene. I never had this problem for any other game

My friend had the same issue. We were troubleshooting for over an hour. It finally launched after turning off the steam overlay and running as administrator. Hope this works for you too

Right, i now remember launching it as admin a few months ago when it came out and that made me able to play it, will try.

Running start_protected_game.exe as admin makes it get past the seizure warning but instead makes a crash dump pop up come up while intro videos are still playing. and the crash dump failed to send

Running Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2.exe as admin makes it crash instead of freeze at the seizure warning.

Several single suggestions, meaning try one, launch, if it doesn't work, revert and try the next:

1. Disable antivirus
2. Turn off steam overlay
3. Lower your fps to 60
4. Press alt + tab when clicking the play button, and even more fun,
5. Run the game in compatibility mode
