The average player count is currently less than 250~ players. And has been for months, years even. All this will mean is that guilds will just have to condense players to fit 6v6, which considering the average player count of the previous game. Shouldn't be an issue for most, as it's basically building new guilds around the game rather than guilds moving straight into it
That 'leak' said some stuff about this game that got proven wrong when the actual game got leaked. So it was almost certainly a fake leak made up by someone with too much free time.
Hence why I said it was a rumor. It wasn't about the current content of the game, but rather the kind of potential vision that was potentially afoot. Frankly, I'd love to see it happen, but not holding my breath.
and I hate to say it...but also how much DLC is bought and how many people buy into the game now.
More money = continued support to get more money.
The game has to succeed in the eyes of the players and shareholders.
