Has no one heard of the Celestial Lions before?
Anyone who says that black space marines are new and woke is sad and dumb. Look up the Celestial Lions chapter please. Easily one of the most interesting chapters out there and really cool color pattern for their armor.

Celestial Lions are also a really good example of how far the Inquisition will go to cover its own ass and to be petty to those who slight them.

They took part in the war for Armageddon, can't recall if it was 2nd or 3rd...
The third war and currently they are getting help from other chapters because some insane inquisitor trying to wipe them out for reporting him as a problem. Their chapter master was recently killed by an assassin in front of a the Emperor's Spears chapter. It's insane how much power this inquisitor has. it got to the point that other chapters are shielding them including Black Templars. I can't wait to see what Guilliman thinks of this when he hears this.

Yep. That particular Inquisitor has a stick up their *ss for the Celestial Lions. They've been trying to destroy them for the longest time now all because of one incident.

Not all Inquisitors have the Imperium's best interests in mind. Some are just power hungry pr*cks with their dirty little secrets or have some serious ego problems.

hey, not taking this lamenters erasure

there's actually a few different chapters that take protecting people very seriously, most just end up hyper-focusing on an objective rather than focusing on saving as many people as possible which makes the examples that will put protecting lives on a higher priority than killing the enemy stand out more

then the memes view of 40k makes some of those get forgotten or have their stories confused for other chapters'

Ultramar is a system. Its also called the realm of Ultramar.
No, Kharn is right. The home planet and home system of the Ultramarines is Macragge.
Quoting the Wiki:
"Ultramar, also called the Realm of Ultramar, referred to in ancient times as the "Five Hundred Worlds" and known formally in the 41st Millennium as Sub-sector Ultramar"

I don't think I want to hear "No, Kharn is right" ever again. Just finished watching a video on him and the dude is insane (which is saying something for him being a world eater). But yes it is a realm, I just use the word system more loosely because I've been playing mass effect series again and that was the first word that game to mind.

Yup. the fight with the space wolfs wasn't the end and I don't there will be for quit some time. On that note though, I really want to know who they pissed off. This is person that seems to have so much power that they can order an assassination on loyal astartes even during a mission sent by Guilliman.

The celestial lions are a meme of how the inquisition is dangerous for everyone, although in principle they did not have the power to punish other organizations of equal rank such as the space marines, GW created them as an example of what the inquisition can do.

I don't know the results of Armageddon but as far as I saw the chapter it was still in the "reconstruction/recruitment" phase and it will take hundreds or thousands of years to recover its forces due to the amount of genetic material lost, ironically perhaps the primaris could help accelerate its reconstruction .

What do you think of the Celestial Lions color scheme? they have my favorite followed by Salamander and Carcharodons.

It's just sad that after everything he was put through by the inquisition, the chapter master died while trying to get his primaris marines.

I just need to know who this guy is though. He has so much power at his disposal and is wasting it on petty stuff all the while Guilliman is in charge and sent some primaris marines to go help them recover.

There's people that hate their colorscheme because they look like Stormcast Eternals but tbh, and I know this is a niche and minority opinion among the fans of 40k, but I love Age of Sigmar and I love Stormcast Eternals.

Honestly am half-waiting for Guilliman to do a canon version of the plot from Text-to-Speech where the Emperor sent out a missive disbanding the Inquisition specifically to lure in the biggest problem players so he could exile them personally, and then sent another missive saying "lol just kidding get back to work" to the ones who were smart enough not to show up and be idiots on Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Terra.

I'm pretty sure it's Inquisitor Apollyon. I haven't read much into it. I just know that the Celestial Lion's wounded his ego and that hasn't gone well for them.

It boils down to... the Celestial Lions uprooted a rebellion on their planet. Apollyon got wind and when the Celestial Lions effectively, and quite literally, with their backs turned after leaving the planet, had the planet Bombarded into an inhospitable waste, killing everyone on its surface because everyone on the planet was a heretic in his eyes.

Since then the Lions have tried to expose him for needlessly and ruthlessly killing billions, and Apollyon doesn't like this. So he's trying to destroy them.

Basically, he's an Inquisitor that needs to be hit with Excommunicatus Traitoris and executed, because he's one of those whose lost the plot.

Reason being is because if they DO get exposed, they will be killed by another Inquisitor in most likely circumstances, and worse now they're trying to exterminate a perfectly loyal, capable Chapter. Needlessly. Believe it or not, but needlessly exterminatus'ing a planet is actually frowned upon and killing loyalist Astartes without due cause isn't exactly looked at kindly.
