"PS5 Version
Vibration function and trigger effect supported (DualSense wireless controller)" not sure about the gyro tho. But since it's coming to PC, it will have the same features, you'll need an USB-C cable for PC ofc to be able to use all of the DualSense's functionalities as with other games as well, like Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima etc. But since they're already advertising a custom controller for the game "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 PlayStation 5 Custom Controller" (it's basically just aesthetics, the rest of the functions are the same) which also has the Motion Sensor function, hence I'd assume that the game will have a gyro support, but we'll just have to wait and see.
gyro aiming isn't same stick aim
That's true. Having said that, I'm also a born & raised keyboard and mouse player, grew up in the golden age of gaming, especially when it comes to good story oriented single-player games, or arena shooters / FPS games like Unreal, UT99, Quake, the classic CoDs, not to mention the old Doom games, Wolf3D etc. I still play FPS games and / or some TPS games with k&m, but when it comes to anything else like platformers, or games like God of War, Horizon, so non-competitive games etc. controllers are really a godsend, especially this DualSense controller is a true gem. First I thought the same as well, that it will suck, but the gyro, and all the other functions really stand out, and makes these types of games more immersive due to the haptic-feedback, trigger functions etc, and the gyro gives a really smooth aiming experience as well imho. Takes a little time of getting used to, that's 100% true, but after a few hours, it really rocks. :)
However, there is a goofy bug where it seems like some of the vibrations are reversed. When in missions, footstep haptic feedback occurs on the wrong side of your footsteps. Funnily enough, in the hub/ship area, it is fine.
"Q: Does the game support the haptic features of the DualSense controller?
A: We support force triggers on the DualSense controller, but not haptic feedback at launch."
