Things change. Get over it. Least gave old models 2 wounds, and if don’t play tabletop…why do you care? Books are all fluff.
The most annoying part of most of these people is they dont even buy the mini's, the primary cause of the complaints. They are just going off some rando reddit thread or youtube personality.
Doubt
I doubt any new 40k related products are going to be based of the rules or lore of old editions, but if sticking to 3e makes you happy, knock yourself out.
"The AdMech has developed new 'Primaris' pattern power armor and weapons, and will be rolling them out to the Space Marine chapters! A new line of Primaris equipped marine models in stores now!"
Instead of this overly complicated origin story and lore smoothing about how one crazy Tech Priest spent thousands of years trying to secretly improve on the Space Marines ... just to create ones that are slightly better in every way (including their ability to be trademarked) without actually being different. The in-universe justification for Primaris marines is bad fanfic, and the real-world justification could have just been, "We need to keep selling minis in order to support the game."
Holy based.
