Sisters of Battle DLC for multiplayer modes?
They would have to work differently from the marines classes. And I know Sisters are not supposed to be as mechanically powerful as space marines, but I'm sure some sort of asymmetrical balance could be achieved -- just hand wave their heightened power and call it "miracles from the Emperor."

lol, I suppose their hit boxes would also need to be smaller too.

I'm sure there's some way you could keep them balanced. :)

Also, if this DLC ever came out. . .

They could but i'm sure people want Chaos Marines in Co-Op first. Probably Orks or Eldar second. Sisters of Battle are lower on the list of popular factions to play.

For what suggesting that Chaos, Orks, and Eldar are all more popular than Sisters of Battle?

If we're going to add playable factions, I'd be fine with Adeptus Sororitas or Tempestus Scions. Heck, feel free to sneak in Officio Assassinorum while you're at it.

They should make Custodes v Custodes as Custodes have historically had both genders.
Eidrog Aug 21, 2024 @ 2:04pm
The trouble with Custodes is they're too powerful. Sisters of Battle can plausibly achieve what a marine can. . . especially if you do a lot of hand waving and say 'Miracles of the Emperor!' But the Adeptus Custodes are an order of magnitude above regular Space Marines.

"Historically" is a bit of a stretch, don't you think? ;) But yes, the Custodes can be either male or female.

But, but, those are all Heretic and Xenos factions. o_o

I think if they were going to add more playable characters they'd want to keep them within the Imperium. (Well, I suppose they'd need to make a "Chaos-Equivalent" for the PvP mode. Cultists Maybe? Perhaps the Possessed? )

I mean, I love Orks and Eldar, but I'd easily rather have the Adepta Sororitas in this game. XD

This type of update would make me pay full price for the game a second time.

I truly hope to see them introduce new factions and playstyles. I'm not sure this is the game that'll happen in ---- but boy I'd be here for it.

I would throw money at a Sisters of Battle game similar to this or Darktide.

For real, that's my dream WH40k game.

An additional class that were battle sisters doesn't seem so far-fetched to me, but the developers would have to change the proportions stablished in lore to not make her broken since her hitbox would be smaller than the hitbox of a space marine.
Eidrog Aug 21, 2024 @ 4:11pm
Yeah, and the Chaos faction would need parity with any Sister of Battle classes for the PvP to work. Probably a souped-up Chaos Cultists would work, since they'd be roughly the same size and shape. If there were multiple classes you could do:

Khorne Cultist
Tzeentch Cultist
Nurgle Cultist
Slaanesh Cultist
Chaos Undivded Cultist
etc.

It looks like that's kinda what they did for all the Chaos Space Marine classes if I'm understanding the trailer videos right.

SOB are not on the same level as Firstborn, let alone the Primaris. This game plays very much into the "movie marines" power fantasy, which is a large part of why it is so awesome. Look at the sheer number of Tyranid Warriors that you can take out one after another, this is the most generous and awesome interpretation of the power level of Space Marines that we have ever seen in a game.

SOB would be more appropriate for Darktide, the power level of this game is such that only Chaos Space Marines or something equivalent can realistically challenge our poster boys.

As I said in another thread, I don't think it works for this game but would be absolutely badass in their own game. I'd pay premium for a Warhammer 40K: Sororitas game that is pretty much this game but with my favorite faction (I'm a big Order of the Bloody Rose and Sacred Rose fan).
