The 'Blackrock' argument?
Blackrock only owns around 6% shares. That's not enough to leverage any business decisions as far as Games Workshop goes. You need at a minimum of 20% shares to have any weight on the franchise.
This was an argument that fell flat on its *ss the moment it left the first Grifter's mouth.
Much like the Rumor that was started by a troll on 4chan that Henry Cavil was 'angry' at the Female Custodes change. (The same 4channer who later admitted it was a troll post, not his fault people can't detect the obvious bait with the way he ended the post. "My dad works at Nintendo!").
Do you genuinely think BR CEO was just funnin' when he talked about using its influence to, in his words, "force behaviors"?
I have difficulty believing that the recent canonical changes are purely coincidental with companies like it & Amazon buying into the brand. That's too convenient.
I doubt there'll be much of an actual effective boycott though - if the game's good it'll suddenly be 'un-woke' at launch.
I mean, let's go with the logic here. The only people who'd actually make a dent that'd GW would notice with a boycott are the main audience. AKA those who buy miniatures
Everything else barely makes a dent with GW. If nobody buys the game then, to them its oh well. Gaming ventures gone, lets just not do that again and focus on producing more miniatures
Besides, I do not like ♥♥♥♥♥♥-up Activists putting my money in their pockets and destroying my franchises in the process.
