FOV adjustment?

Will this game have a FOV slider? I VIVIDLY remember the first game making me sick as hell because the FOV was so bad. Eventually there was a mod released for the first one (awesome game). I really hope they don't over look this.

nothing wrong with the FOV, i'd suggest glasses - no this isn't an insult, go to your local eye opticians and get your eyes checked out and your IPD and stuff, because this is an eye issue... they can help give you correct glasses for messed up IPD issues and distance viewing.

seems like you're one that would even get motion sickness.

doubt there will be a fov slider, and there wont be any mods, games workshop dont like their IP's to be modded.
space marine mods came out after the game died and they were hack jobs at best.

DoW1 and 2 got mods. Not to mention Warhammer Total War 1 2 and 3 which make huge overhauls and ad lore friendly and unfriendly unit and faction additions from the steam workshop. Even battlesector relatively recently had mods introduced.

What kind of person are you writing that kind of stuff when pc games had a fov slider options since the 20+ years almost ???

space marine 1 had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of mods and i can guarantee you this game will have ultrawide & fov mods day 1.

For a MP game they sure need FOV slider since mods might interfere with cheat protections. And it has nothing to do with bad eye sight... The ignorant posts about FOV never sieze to amaze. Some people cant deal with lower FOV and it also has to do with how close to the screen you are. Kids on kiddie boxes hooked up to a TV far away is not the same as sitting in front of a screen on a PC. Age and other factors play in. Low FOV becomes hell for many people.

The previous game has FOV mod and became so much nicer to play.

These devs primary focus is console sales where everyone is sitting on a couch 10 ft away from the screen. Adding more features such as FOV for the PC players is like asking for an extra serving in the soup line. Ain't gonna happen.

Didn't Quake almost 30 years ago also have a FoV slider? I'm pretty sure that, not shortly after we went into the third dimension we had FoV sliders to combat motion sickness.

It really does barely get any more basic than a FoV slider.

I don't know what the glasses dude is about, depending on what glasses you need they might help you see better but also change your perception of depth in a way that makes motion sickness even worse.
I should know, I am gaming and wearing glasses for almost 30 years by now. Some reviews have pointed out that there is currently NO slider so far, .ini or .config file edits sometimes do the trick day one though.



Edit: Take care with unofficial file edits in multiplayer games though, be it simple text files or mods, edits could get you banned.
No bigger developer is reading the Steam forum due it's nature and users, you might want to talk to the official support if there is an unofficial way to edit the FoV, this game has a PvP mode and a higher FoV gives you an advantage and might be reason for a ban.

I assumed that was going to be the case. first game also had literally 0 accessibility settings, they just don't give a ♥♥♥♥.

I'm watching reviews now and the FOV is way too zoomed-in for PC, especially when aiming with guns. Lack of FOV slider is a a huge bummer as this WILL cause motion sickness for a lot of PC players. Shameful this wasn't in at launch and needs to be addressed ASAP. Hopefully a modder can make a Cheat Engine table or something similar.
