What is ACTUALLY happening?!
Long story short; I dont keep up with e-drama nor do I watch griftors from either sides. HOWEVER, I dislike wokies and commies therefore, I wanna ask; what is REALLY happening with this game?

One camp says its woke.
Others say the woke writer was fired and its bad intel.

Therefore, Im looking for a level-headed response here.
Much appreciated.

Not sure, but I have noticed it's the same handful of woke warriors fighting this battle as it was on the Baldur's Gate 3 forum, so either the Steam forums are a tiny place or they just dedicate their entire lives to hopping from game-to-game and arguing that it's either not woke, should be woke or that woke isn't a real thing.

As a general rule of thumb it always seems best to suspect the anti-woke people might be overreacting, but to outright ignore the pro-woke people because they are literally always consciously lying and subverting the narrative.

If the woke man-hating writer managed to put their stamp on the game it hasn't come through in the promotional material, yet. At the moment I'm more wary of it getting polluted by the same "live service" paywall crap that ruined Diablo 4.

I am not woke, I am just anti-anti-woke.

This should tell you everything you need to know, and if they think they can get away with it, they need to remember what happened to Bud Light, how one person can destroy an entire brand that has lasted for decades because they can't keep their woke political ideologies to themselves.

But considering 40K is literally the last geek fiefdom for proper dudes to hang out in. It does look terribly suspicious under the current social/political climate. I've gone from wannabe instant pre-order buyer to waiting for vids and reviews... I don't want to be anywhere near the ♥♥♥♥ storm that is coming if they have intentionally injected their evil, sexy filth into one of the most anticipated sequels of the last decade. I've had enough of this nonsense. If the kids want to wreck things. They are free to do so. Just as long as they are OK doing that without the money or endorsement, long term fans of the game and ip are going to bring.

But let's face it, they rarely are. As usual we'll all be in the wrong for not wanting to get involved with what is essentially the mental illnesses of simpletons and unpleasant, angry people. Can't wait for all the screams of "racist, mysogenist TERF & bigot" to fill up these forums. Hoping it won't come to that. But seems almost a given these days as this has happened to everything else...

Sure it's not 6.66% ? that I could believe lol... :steammocking:

I Love you.

If you think Black Rock can't throw their weight around you need to read again. They can own 0% of your company and still control you because they're the lending firm that gives you loans to complete your products. And if you don't like their politics then it would be a shame if something were to happen to your credit score and you wouldn't get those loans. Larry Fink said it best "At Black Rock we force behaviors"

P.S. Black Rock owns TRILLIONS in assets. They're the Tencent of the West.

Didn't a lot of the Bud Light boycotters start drinking different Anheuser Busch products instead?

They can drink cow p*ss if they want, Bud Light still lost BILLIONS of dollars, that brand died, and the smart ones moved on to other brands not owned by them. Same thing is happening to Disney because not many people like to be told what politics they need to follow in every product they buy.

But they didn't. The parent company was immediately outed on Twitter and it registered serious losses. Ofc, the most damaged brand was Bud Light but no, def people DID NOT switch to other product of the same company.

edit: Also, see other companies like Netflix, Amazon, Disney. All had to more or less admit pretty serious losses after ignoring what their fanbases wanted to pander a few actiwriters.

The other brand's stocks went up and were bought more at the time....

Another reminder. It is of course common knowledge at this point that the Bud Light fiasco was a significant net loss for Anheuser-Busch to the tune of over a billion dollars, and the narrative that they "made it back" from the boycotters is one of those subversive lies I'm talking about. In reality, Anheuser-Busch had a good year globally and it was nothing to do with the boycotting Americans "switching" to their other beers, but rather because they own Stella Artois, Becks and many other globally popular beers. I used to drink Stella myself as a Brit, it's very popular over here. Their earnings statements literally pointed out the American market had held them back due to the boycott. It was an unequivocal loss of epic proportions and the fact the pro-woke will even try to spin that into a win shows how dishonest they are to their core.

So I keep seeing people raging about how the game went woke, I guess because somebody who had been involved at one point said something dumb on the internet.

But can someone please explain to me exactly WHAT is objectionable in this game? Astartes in dresses confirmed or something? Because unless I have more information to go on, if the game looks good after it comes out and the reviews start flowing, I really don't care what some former writer said. I'll probably play it.

if you are white and have any sense of self worth, you simply won´t give money to peope like this just because you want to play a video game.
I wouldn't say you're supposed to buy any Warhammer products.

Buy them or not, nobody (reasonable) is going to judge you for that.

Though I will say that if you're a cis white man it's a bit ironic to not do it over a tweet centered around the idea of cis white men getting easily offended and upset of all things. Not saying I think the tweet is great (I think it's pretty obnoxious), but it's certainly pretty funny to play into it.

yes, let me insult black people by demanding that nobody hire them and then when they are angry I change the goal post to "haha, see how easy it is to offend black people!"

wow very convincing, wonder how someone may not fall for this lame tactic
If you think the tweet is saying 'we shouldn't cast cis white men because they're evil' then I dunno what to say except you're very bad at comprehension.

It's clearly saying 'I think cis white men are cast in roles plenty and they'd get very upset if they weren't and they'd see how it feels to not be represented like I am in (insert oppressed group)'

Which again, definitely obnoxious! Pretty racist even! Definitely don't think it's a good thing to say! Would not want to befriend this person if they usually say things like this.

But not what you're claiming it says. And personally...I belong to the Pete Buttigeg school of Chick-fil-A

If you’re turned off, as I am, by the political behavior of Chick-fil-A or their executives — if that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, so to speak, and you decide not to shop there, I’d certainly get it and I’d support that. But the reality is, we, I think, sometimes slip into a sort of virtue signaling in some cases where we’re not really being consistent. I mean, what about all the other places we get our chicken from?
