Not sure you understand what it means, m'dude. Grummz in particular does this a lot. The constant threads about "WOKE" are essentially rage baiting.

WastingSanity did it with his "Henry Cavill Leaving Amazon's 40k?!?!? NO WAY!! TIRED OF WOKESTODES?!" only to later find out this wasn't true, never was true, and originated from a 4chan troll (who confirmed it was a troll post).

And please, don't use the term "Cry Wolf", because it doesn't mean what you think it means in the context you just used it. Especially given the context of what mentally ill tradcaths tried to do to 28-mag and Trench Crusade recently under Grummz's direction.

I still try to have Civil Discussions with people, especially those I dont agree with. If we never try and reach out, then Dialog will never happen. All I really ask of people is to refrain from Personal Attacks, sadly this did not happen this time.

I just hope that maybe a few other people will read this and realize that letting Extremists on either side drive them to become so Angry that they lash out at the Community is not a good thing. That just because someone may Disagree with what your saying, that does not mean they are your Enemy, they are not some Far Right/Left Nut.

Even more important, Criticizing a Company is different the Attacking Individuals and the Community of Fans.

Is this Game going to have any of these issues, no clue. So far it looks like it will be a proper 40K Game, and I really hope it is. I think those that are crying WOKE are being just as dumb as those who call me an -ist/-phobe just because I think making Changes to the Lore like those above is Lazy and Disrespectful to those they claim to want to Represent.

How about instead of Attacking one another, we just ask that Companies do a Better Job in trying to be Inclusive and Diverse. They actually hire good Creators to come up with New Characters and Factions that dont feel so Lazy and Pandering. Stop letting Activists and Companies Divide us.

I am not your Enemy, most Fans of an IP are NOT your Enemy. They never did anything to you, so stop taking your Anger out on those that likely where treated like Dirt for even liking these Hobbies before they became Popular, I know I sure did.

Most of the time the blame for this belongs to brainless witless moron clods for writers who don't understand what made the thing they are changing good in the first place, don't understand the world building and characters, and don't understand the core thematics that people resonate and connect with.

I can't say I blame people for feeling anxious as f*ck because of that, especially when 40k was considered something safe in a sea of enshitification.

I followed the femstodes mess everywhere. The initial reaction was a knee jerk one because of that anxiety brought on from seeing so many franchises go down in flames. The secondary reaction was mass confusion and uncertainty as yeah, Femstodes ultimately work on a writing, worldbuilding, and thematic level and most importantly arguably improve Custodes flavour, so maybe this is fine?

So we had tons and tons of people trying to figure out how they felt about this and twitter came running in screaming chud! incel! evil! bigot! sexist! at these people wildly alienating them and playing up that anxiety that this is Starwars history repeating itself, like holy f*ck is it any surprise that the rage bait youtubers went absolutely nuclear with viewership over this?

The fun thing is that when I kicked up my activity here, around the custodes debacle is that I did actually try going around to understand the viewpoints. And engage with them. The only one I could sympathize with is the tweet. Everything else led to me being insulted and people getting overly anal. I think I actually made a friend over it who didn't enjoy the GW handling of it as well, need to check my list to see if they're still added.

There's some you could have an honest conversation with, and they've basically left the forum by now. A large portion of those who still push that rage nonsense around take rock firm stances that it's just wrong for reasons that are contradicted by the mere existence of Warhammer and its history. Most are capable of having a regular conversation about it, and most have now left it

You and I talked about it at the time. I felt we had a pretty Civil Discussion on the Topic. There are always those that get a bit to Extreme and let their Emotions get the better of them though. It seemed those with level heads agreed the way they handled it on Social Media was pretty dumb, but it could be interesting if done well going forward.

I just wish people on both sides would refrain from attacking people in the Community. Keep the Criticism to the Company and how they handled the Retcon. I dont agree with people attacking those who not only Criticize it, but also those who where okay with it. In the end its up to the Company, and then up to the Community if they will support that change or not. We will see going forward if it was a good choice or not.

You can just refund the game if you don't like it/have other problems with it, not much of a risk with trying a game on Steam.

So far they've been quite pro-consumer, all gameplay content will be free to not split community.

No P2W, and cosmetic oriented season passes.
