They said they rejected wokeness. Now, that is no longer the case. Ashley Cooper is also the main writer, an extremely racist and sexist person, consumed by hatred.
I have every reason now to blacklist this game permanently. Everything that goes full far left OR far right pandering, pushing extremist behaviour, ideology and misanthropy must be boycotted. Hit them where it will EVENTUALLY hurt the most - their WALLET.

This happened with Assassin's Creed: Shadows, it happened with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and several other games. The political pandering went full force, and the game design, story, dialogue and gameplay became increasingly unbearable.
NEVER push political extremes in favour of making the game! Never go far right, never to far left, never go MODERATE left or right, no fascism, no LGBTQ, no Pride, no ultra-nationalism, no N--zism! Just make a GOOD GAME! But we can't have a good game, because people being happy is the worst thing since German Mustache Man or Orange Man Bad or something along those lines.

Sorry. I wanted this game, I *wanted* it. Now I want it DELETED off of this platform.
NEVER allow wokeness of any level, or it spreads like weeds!

UPDATE: Apparently Ashley "The hothead" Cooper was fired, but Sweet Baby Inc has been involved with the game. So... yeah. I still have little to no nope right now. Time will indeed tell, but for now, I am keeping this game at, uhmm.... Gladiator-Class length.

Apparently, the cosmetics, and the lead writer writing the story or parts of the game according to her ideology, and GW is pandering to fringe activist groups that are very loud, but never buy anything to support any company that follows their shouting.
Now, yes, as some point out, she was fired, but has the woke or ideological extremism been written out? Is the dialogue more Warhammery, or is it to be called "Wokehammer 40k"? Trans relationships or enforcements or whatever?

That's what people are tired of, this endless nagging of feminism, adding woke things and such. At first, years ago, people were mostly fine with it. "They just want some more freedoms and rights, there's nothing wrong with that." But it's been abused and overshouted so much that it's being added everywhere where it doesn't even fit in or work, and people are getting tried of it.

*Most* people don't want to really care about anything left or right or even center, they just want to escape all of that. They won't want anything woke, trans, feminist, any far right IRL focuses and so on, they just want to forget the world for a bit and play a game that has none of it. Palworld, Enshrouded, Helldivers, Wolfenstein, The Sims, WoW, puzzle games... sure, many games DO have some rather intense political themes, but it's set in a unique universe or a different take on our own world, it's not to be taken too seriously. Like Wolfenstein. The N-zis win WW2, bad as hell, but we get to kill them by the thousands. Rerlentless slaughtering of an idelogy that is OVER THE TOP designed in those games, every bit of N-zism in those games is extremely exaggerated on purpose - especially the technology in teh rebooted franchise. It's satire, it's for fun, it's for glorious chaos and bloodshed - in a game. But it's designed for a purpose, and it's done well.

But injecting far right or far left pander-themes in games like Helldivers, or Warhammer, where it doesn't fit, where it reminds people WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much of the real world's problems, the chaos, the endless leftist protests and parades and how everyone MUST love it or be harassed endlessly.... like, X feminist makes joke of gay people or white people - nothing happens.
White person makes teh same joke? They're told they should be punished and face all the consequences possible for it. That kind of stuff.

And that is why people are so "anti-woke", because so much of it and so much similar to it are being forced into things where it doesn't contribute anything, it just devalues and ruins things. Like AC: Shadows - they're altering HISTORY WEBSITES to match the game's story. They're attempting to make people only see and accept a revised reality, a revised history, from a game.

It's a huge lot of little things that eventually become many big things. And eventually people who mostly want to just enjoy themselves, away from all this chaos - suddenly, they can't. They're not allowed to, they must accept "the new current thing" or be demonized and dehumanized for it. For simply not wanting to be a part of it.

And that is why I and others are, as you say, rather "anti-woke". There is just too much of it. And "the other side" is not even allowed to even ask why this endless marching of progressivism is necessary everywhere. We are just ordered to accept fate or "git gud" or something. Eventually, the cup overflows. Like mine is doing a lot the past few years. I've kind of hit my limit with how much I can stand.

Sorry if I got a bit repetitive, but I REALLY want to get my point across, okay?

NOW, as I did update my original post - the game's story might not be that woke at all, but even the LITTELEST things matter to some people. Maybe a bit too much, but after years and years of "PRIDE EVERYWHERE, TRANS FOR EVERYONE, NO WHITES!" and similar spammed phrases and rhetoric... well. Once again. Eventually the people who are either being targeted, or just want to be left alone.... they/we tend to EVENTUALLY react rather poorly in turn.

Doesn't matter where you look nowadays, nobody does any, we even have to teach critical thinking and source....what's the phrase in english again... When you make sure the source is factual anyway (google translate says "source criticism" but that sounds...weird to me), in school here. I mean we learned it back in the 90's when I was in school as well but nowadays we have to literally tell people that "Tik Tok isn't what we'd call factually correct so if you hear something there, look it up before you start spreading what they say there for their own gain" =)

But yeah, I always say that when it comes to things that aren't even finished yet...let them release it so we can see for ourselves before we start complaining or calling for boycotts.

Critical thinking is a skill that's truly lost. Sometimes I've found even I've fallen victim to the Tik Tok thing where I find a random fun fact and just regurgitate it like an unthinking robot. Though I do at least stop mid sentence and quickly double check once I realize I can't actually verify it (my favorite being the domino for the fall of Yugoslavia. Never lie to your doctor or you might start a race war)

But yeah, I agree. There's obviously exceptions if it comes out that the company itself is directly supporting some horrid thing like "hey, it turns out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Studios is trying to advocate for literally killing your neighbor" or "Assbutt Inc. took all the money they got and barely spent any on actually developing the game"

Why would I expend effort and afford patience and reasonableness for people who have never done the same? Literally all you have to do is a developer is write on Twitter "guys maybe giving children drugs with debilitating long term effects isn't a great idea" and you'll have an inbox of hysterical death threats and you'll be fired by lunch and HR puts out their "our values" post on Twitter begging for forgiveness.

You always have to keep in mind that some companies / people have to interact with the woke idiotic culture in order to "not" get cancelt. They often don't understand that they would even win if they refuse woke-♥♥♥♥.

The biggest German Lets Play Streamer Ghronk wanted to play Harry Potter and got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because the author J.K.Roling said something bad about LGBTQ or homosexual or what ever and people started ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ him. He was like "I don't care about this person, I care about the game" Everyone like: solid dude A few woke idiots like: "Because of people like you people like me kill them self" AND HE GAVE IN :-D Right the moment when he gave in, he lost a good chunk of follower. That's how insignifikant woke crap is in games.

So far I don't see anything that would bother me. If they start to use gender speech, I am all out.
