Unfortunately unlike Rowling there usually isn't a way to know exactly what she worked on in a game. I saw a scene years ago she claimed on twitter to have written in gotham knights, wasn't impressed, didn't think it was bad, but didn't think it was good either. Just meh.
The best outcome with SM2 is that she didn't create the core story, something that would be done by the narrative lead which she was not. Managed to restrain herself with scenes and dialogue she was involved in, and that her writing isn't noticeably bad.
Tbh, that's probably the story of SM2. The first one wasn't great either. Nor was it bad
It was just, acceptable. The gameplay served to carry the weak points in the story
Ssssh, they're too focused listening to grifters bringing stuff up from years ago to farm views now
I hate to cloud your world view, but it's likely that ANY product you enjoy has an employee (current or ex) who thinks or said something you don't like.
"We kill it, we break the synaptic connection."
"They'd scatter like rats."
"And if you're wrong. If it's not there. I cannot afford to throw men after a hunch."
"Give me two squads."
"Three Space Marines, that's all I can spare. Brief them immediately."
Where exactly is this getting political? Really we won't know until the full game comes out. But GW will have reviewed everything, and they tend to be pretty protective about their IP in terms or lore and tone - especially with Warhammer 40k.
Yeah. It's amazing how often anti-woke activists try to use cancel culture. It doesn't work, but it's interesting to see them rail against it, then use it repeatedly.
