It's a shame this practice is still happening.

Rumors say this decision was made by the publisher of SM2, who are describes as having long, sharp noses, touting a flag with the color blue on it, and also center their religion on a many-pointed star...I guess they have Tzeentch Lords of Change in charge over there....

You will never be a real space marine. You have no black carapace, no gene seed, no secondary heart. You are a normal human male twisted by mutation and surgery into a crude mockery of the Emperor's perfection. All the "honour" you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back, the Emperor's warriors mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your "friends" laugh at your heretical appearance behind closed doors. Tech-priests are utterly repulsed by you. Forty-thousand years of the Emperor's grace has allowed his children to sniff out heretics with incredible efficiency. Even civilians who "get augmented" look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a naive guardsman home with you, he'll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your craven heretical chaos god worship sigils and tattoos. You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake salute every single morning and tell yourself you're going to die gloriously for the Emperor, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a Tyranid hive fleet, ready to crush you under the unbearable barrage of xenos. Eventually it'll be too much to bear - you'll buy a tainted xenos or chaos drug and plunge into the cold void. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved they no longer have to live with the unbearable heresy and disappointment. They'll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a human is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakable human. This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

Only reason i havent preordered yet. Touting "we are the good guys, no shady mtx and stuff" while artificially delaying release to squeeze some extra cash. That doesnt make you serm legit...

Sameday as Stalker 2

I don't see it as playing the game late, I'm just not getting it early. And I won't lose sleep over people who do. In fact, it's better for us, let those impatient players find all the problems and get those early reviews out for the rest of us.

It'll probably bite the publisher in the rear anyway, like it did with Starfield. People will finish the game (or at least put in well over their 2 hours) then refund it, which they can do any time before the release date.

I believe they updated it to also be a two hour limit for early access

Well there's the Steam Early Access program, which does have the 2 hour & 14 day window from the posted release date. Then there's pre-release "early access," which you can return any time up to the release date, after which the 2 hr / 14 day rule applies.

But it could have changed after the Starfield refund fiasco, so by all means correct me if I'm wrong because I don't want to spread misinformation.
