Salamanders space marine in disguise from the trailer
Anyone else notice that one sneaky Salamanders marine in the latest trailer wearing Ultramarines armour? He is the one who says "they'd scatter like rats"

Is this a new piece of lore from 40k? I haven't been keeping up lately, I know there's been some new drops like the Lion returning and one of the high lords of Terra being a Word Bearers marine, but I didn't know Salamanders did covert operations within other chapters?

Maybe this was an accident by the SM2 devs? They meant to give him the trademark green armour but gave him the same Ultramarines armour instead? Really weird, hope they fix this bug by the time the game comes out in September.

What? Salamanders are black. That guy's not black, he's more of a dark-brown color.

salamanders aren't black there skin is more chard im pretty sure space marines can be any color as long as there from the planet that chapter recruits from. all salamander have there skin turn charcoal black when the turn in to one (i think not really to interested in chapters that aren't ultramarines, blood Ravens, crimson fist or dark angels).

I don't think Salamanders wear yellow? Def not as a primary. I know that we saw that one yellow SM during the PvE trailer who had an ultramarines symbol

Yeah, as in charred-black skin. The guy in the trailer's just some brown dude, so I don't see where the confusion could come from.

this has already been discussed the conclusion was somethign like: Of the 500 worlds in Ultramar, not a single one could possibly have a black person.

The gene seed makes you look like the primarch, including one's skin color. A white guy from ultramar took the Khan's geneseed and shortly after implantation, he started to look mongolian. Are you saying Roboute is black?

If he was one of Vulkan's sons he would also have red eyes

Technically Astartes can be any colour however one of their organs regulates their melanin levels based on the environment. So a Astartes with dark skin would end up looking a lot more pale and almost as pale as a naturally light skinned one and visa versa depending on the environment and sun levels. Astartes also lose pigmentation in their skin as well as they age. So all the dark skin would become a more sickly pale color over time anyway.

There were also no Salamanders shown in the trailer.
