Warhammer was the last Bastion of non woke non purple haired SJWs talking about their genders and pronouns. Since that has come to an end it's time to vote with your wallets. I know most gamers don't want political propaganda in their games and just want to have fun in the lore that they have enjoyed for decades. Since these companies can't produce entertainment anymore because they have an ESG social woke score they have to keep to promote THE MESSAGE. It's time to move on, play older games you haven't touched from your library, or Japanese games. This is what the emperor would want.

There is alot of truth to this statement. We DO KNOW that the writer was a woketard. There is no way I'll even dream of buying this until I see some trusted reviewers on the game. PS I suggest RUMBLE for the review considering how bad google is.

Without question that employee was a joke, but they were let go from the project (and company) years ago.

The game itself doesn’t really lend itself to injecting a bunch of woke nonsense. I assume we will see troops led by super tough women but that alone isn’t really “woke” and doesn’t harm the narrative.

For me, that’s the breaking point. When the narrative and story is compromised by forcing DEI and woke garbage into the story.

I don’t think that’s going to be an issue here.

Ya, it was a dumb move. But hardly the most egregious example of their retconning of the lore/story.

Heck, the entire dark imperium novels were altered to shift the timeline after the fact.

The issue, for me, wasn’t the female custodes but the lazy way in which they were introduced. In a universe with the Emperor so full of mystery - there could have been countless ways of introducing them without just saying “it’s always been like this”.

But those changes don’t necessarily bode ill for this game.

I didn’t realize I was “REEEEE!” Saying that I wish they were more creative in their approach.

Comparing a legion, who has a known and set standard, to a new piece of equipment isn’t even a close example.

It’s easy to forget, or ignore, a weapon or equipment. If it isn’t mentioned - so what? Nobody defined all the weapons used by the Imperium. Whereas the legion has set standards that were codified.

The necron change was big but it was done in service of the lore.

Funny how every retcon from GW was to sell a new model (Tanks, new Necrons etc) but for Custodes there was no new model. No alternative female head for the new shieldcaptain, no special female character just nothing at all.
It was made just for virtue signaling and this is a piss poor reason, it was nothing added by the retcon.

Btw.. I just want to say that I find it perfectly acceptable for a straight "white" American Man to open up about his thoughts, feelings, and perspectives. People who are intolerant of straight "white" America Men need to understand we live in a dynamic multi-cultural and intellectually churning society. In Barney terms - I believe in Genuine Inclusion and Diversity. Nobody wants to be forced to be included..
