Prices are outrageous
While there are people talking internet politics and how things are being handled by GW, the prices for the two other editions are just outrageous.

I think you forgot how much the special editions for other games costs before games went up to 69.99 lol

The standard one is sixty bucks, which not all companies are willing to be good about, so I can't blame them for that. The prices for the others are a bit much, but at least one of them has a season pass so those ones tend to get inflated in price.

The part that keeps pissing me off personally is the early day access used as a dangling bait on a fishing hook. If you can release it three days early for specific people that funnel you extra money, then you can do that for everyone and the company as a whole is being a ****.
On top of that, three days early access for inflated price is always dangerous because you never know if the game in question is going to be bugged to high hell or work fine.

100 bucks for a pc game. lol.
$60 is less than most new games. I don't care about the other versions. If the game is good, I'll get the season pass at a later date. All that matters is the price of entry.

That "strategy" will ALWAYS cost you more in the long run.

I mean it's still 60 bucks for base game. We should be glad they kept to it and not charge 70 bucks like half of the new games that came out.
Gen Greavous May 23, 2024 @ 3:17pm
it might be cheaper simply because of season pass, historically its cheaper to get it on release than 1 by 1. but we wont know for a long time.

if we get 3 DLCs at £10 each your saving £5 overall

Yeah, no regional pricing at all=no buy.

Tell that to people making 300-400 bucks a month and yes there are millions of people making that or less, probably working harder for their money than we are. Since i live in one of those regions and are married to one, i know what it feels like.

But then again they can't afford a computer either since companies like Nvidia keep the prices outragerously high worldwide.

The only difference between us first worlders and those that can barely afford to eat is where we're born, that's it.

I hate this pay more to play early.

No pre order from me, gonna wait for reviews and maybe pick up at a sale instead.
Im concerned they are going to make the pre order stuff just available at a later date as the ultimate slap in the face.

Im already so over the $130, 3 day early into season pass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like 6 months before a game launches gimmick.

The only thing that helps me sleep at night is knowing the buyers remorse is going to hit people like a truck when you can clear this entire game in like 9 hours and have nothing else to do with it. Lol

Well just a heads up but one edition pack is two Ultramarine specific cosmetics and the pre-order one is a shoulder cosmetic and what looks like cosmetics for the Chainsword and Bolter which turns them into Relic versions. Can be used in all modes of play (hinting at customization in the campaign). No clue what the season pass has but its hinted at having cosmetics too.

Most of the stuff is actually rather pointless which adds to the slap in the face considering the pricing of anything but basic. And even the basic version is getting there.

Perfectly reasonable to wait for a sale tbh. I never pre-order until I'm sure about a game and its closer to release.

Its ridiculous. im seeing outrageous prices for these AAA games. 130$, 200 for special edition, 70$ being the standard now. I would have NO problem with this... if the the games they were charging it for was good. a good number of the games that asked for these prices the last 2 years were undeniably trash. Forspoken, saints row, and starfield being the worst of them.

A$ 89.95 / A$ 149.95
welcome to my ignore publisher list :dos2skull:
My bad. I didn't know this was a regional pricing issue. The price in the US is pretty decent. Hopefully the publisher can make the correct regional adjustments before launch.
