In addition to this, you're not paying to get early access, as much as you are NOT paying, to get the game later than everyone else.
It isn't fair and it's the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ that has come to video games in a LONG time.
Why? Because whales. Kids that just have rich parents, have never had to lift their small finger in their life, just splashing mommy's and daddy's cash - then the greedy game corpos just take advantage of that. Guarantee you, this is only going to get worse not better.
But yea, the moment I see ''get X days early access'' for ANY game I just instantly skip it, even if it's mega goty I just don't care. Having this in your game you could even argue is a good thing, it shows everyone instantly all you care about is money and nothing more and dgaf about the game, community or feedback.
You're getting robbed blind by paying for this and people just don't care.
The fact that it is even an option to upgrade to get the game on time is completely absurd. Money grubbing corpos are just doing this tactic because it makes them SO MUCH more money. It's wrong, it's disgusting and it IS a disadvantage. Getting into the game late because we pay a fair price means that everyone else figures out the game entirely before the people who payed full price get a chance to learn the game.
Very scummy
I think its perfectly valid that a private business is able to sell their game however they want too. No one can cry anyones being a whale by buying it as there isnt like "oh you can get a 3000% exp and combat boost by preording it with ultra edition!" Some of us have jobs and instead of waiting for a monday to play we can play thursday and friday and then be able to enjoy it on the weekend.
"Buy it a year later if you want most of the bug to be fixed. And, take this 25% discount too."
