Why? Just because it was delayed?

When has a delay done anything good for Warhammer 40,000 games?

I was unaware that every 40K game was made by the same company.

No, but ever since THQ went under, the IP stopped having a standard of quality. Hell, the past 5 years seems to suggest that delays are less about "spend more time to polish the game" and more "we think our game sucks but don't want to admit it". It seems especially true to Warhammer 40,000. If anything, it seems that whoever's being asked to make a game set in that universe just take it as license to make a bad game.

The grim darkness of the 41st Millennium honestly looks like sunshines and rainbows compared to the future of 40K video games, and it's clear to me that it would take a PlatinumGames-developed game set in the 40k universe for standards to actually exist. Since that seems extremely unlikely however, i think most fans would be better off waiting for the next Soulcalibur game, so as to make Space Marines with the character creator

Chaos Gate came out great, Boltgun is amazing, Rogue trader is coming out in 2 weeks time and i doubt it'll have any issues considering who the devs are, Battlesector is quite fun and feels like the closest thing we'll get to the actual tabletop itself.

So i dont quite follow your line of thinking when the only notable 40K in recent years to have any real issues was Darktide which now is fun.

maybe you have a bias, idk.

The hype still real

a little dramatic but ok

Usually these days when a game is delayed, it just goes from Very bad and unoptimized to be release mediocre and playable still.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - delayed still terrible release
Starfield - delayed still terrible release
Cyberpunk 2077 - delayed still terrible release
Warhammer 40K: Darktide - delayed still terrible release
Total War: Warhammer 3 - delayed still terrible release

and for these "major titles" the list goes on and on

only a handfull (Made by good sutdios) came out better
so yea, at this day and age, delay does not mean more quality

haha that's a good one....Rogue Trader won't have any issues because who the devs are? are you cracked son?

Don't get me wrong I'm hyped for it but Owlcat has a terrible record of releasing buggy messes. Not to say they don't stick with the games and fix them. Couple that with the fact they probably rushed it due to the changes in pricing coming to Unity in 2024.

A lot of extremely butthurt gamers here. I mean I do agree the quality of games has gone down over the last few years but maybe we stop buying them as soon as they come out and start doing research first. Then companies will no longer find incentive on riding off title names for quick cash grabs with half baked games.

IF Spacemarine II isn't what we expected and it flops, we can always backpedal into Spacemarine I, the hype is real, stay strong comrades. :steamhappy:

Or considering the grim darkness that is the future of Warhammer 40,000 video games, wait for SoulCalibur VII and make Space Marines in that game.

i mean it`s no secret that this game will melt your pc`s
I'm excited for it. I like that it hasn't been hyped to the hill like some to the AAA titles out there.
