Why is there a black dude who is an ultramarine
I really don't care one way or the other but just curious if the lore has changed?
I thought only the Salamanders had black Marines and the Ultramarines are white guys only?

Also why does he say Zeee NOHs instead of Zeee NAHs?

This is why I don't understand when people talk about black ultramarines (there was a black ultramarine on Avenging Son and people complained too). Ultramar is vast and has tons of planets and possibly tons of different races too, why is it so hard to believe there are non-white people? It will be like people complained that there are non asian white scars, like what? The race or skin has nothing to do with gene seed compatibility and worthiness of a normal human turning into an Astartes. The only exception are the Salamanders, but mostly because they literally turn charcoal black (or whatever the name of the color is) due to a gene mutation. Even if a chapter only recruits from a single planet, it is hard to believe that there are not more than one race on it with different skin colors, unless that planet has super low population, in which case I doubt they would recruit from only there.

Salamanders' skin condition has since been retconned to have them take on a more stone-like appearance.

As for Space Marines of African descent, I think you forgot about Jonah Orion of the Blood Ravens

Why this discussion exists? We do not need people who have only 1/10 knowledge to comment 40k. Ultramar is mini empire! There is huge number of planets to recruit diverse marines. Same goes to Imperial Fists and majority of all successor chapters. I get tired of 40k newcomers who have clear agenda and limited knowledge! People commenting dark sci-fi fantasy where humanity is fighting as one against other races ( xsenos ) and heretics. If you can carry bolter or lasrifle and die for the Emperor, there is NO F*****g matter what is your gender or skin color!

Because Diversity Equity Inclusion is everywhere regardless of lore. And one sided. Deleting white men is the easiest thing for these corrupt individuals and institutions to do. ONly way to stop it is to not buy it. They'll NEVER change based on feedback, only the wallet gets things done. And most peple are apologists.

??? There have been black Ultramarines in the tabletop game the whole time. I've never read a single book that mentioned they must all be white before, either. I like maintaining lore accuracy, but where the hell did this piece of lore come from lol

GW have decided to be more racially diverse because it's the right thing to do as the business has grown into an insane £4bil+ valuation. You can't be shunning people just because you're used to 'white people' being everywhere in Warhammer. The game was made by white people, and they didn't really think about things to do with racial diversity back when it was made. The United Kingdom isn't like America, where there are a lot of African people. We're very secular. Due to how large the hobby has grown since 8th edition, it makes sense to do such a thing. There's nothing 'woke' about it either. It just makes sense. You can cry about 'wokeness' when they make female Astartes/Primaris.
