Yes and no. Running either the level 134 EXP permanent event or Story 23-6 Normal nets gold Weapon and Chip cards; the EXP event also awards card EXP, which you'll probably want.

That said, the chip xp per time spent playing these methods may not be the best ratio for fastest chip xp gain. One school of thought claims that repeatedly running the armor event with a swift character, then combining and disassembling level 160 armor with the bolts for zenny to purchase green xp cards in the shop en masse is actually faster.

Ultimately, you have some grind ahead of you. The question is how best to pursue it with the least risk of burnout.

The best way is doing the money special stage and purchase chip exp from the shop. Events also rewards you with boxes that you can open and receive a lot of exp chips.

I beat the game doing everything even and I don't recommend it to anybody, just rush until the last stage and do the exp mission for you to catch up with the content.
Not the money special stage, you'll have to do the armor parts stage as Torstein said, then dismantling it for easy zenny, that's faster.

Honestly, if you technically want to be the most efficient about it, you're better off starting with doing 23-6... well assuming you want to do all the in game achievements because one of them requires you to play stages over 500 times.

How much time to complete the armor stages? I never payed attention honestly, but giving a generous time limit we can do money stage around 40~45s using S class Zero.

Really? I'm on 400. There's another one after?!

Around the same time actually. Though not counting the time and clicks you have to make to dismantle and everything, but you do get >1.5x more than the zenny stage per run.

So... might as well grind 23-6 to at least get some weapon xp for gallery grinding and EM to get more premium weapons/characters, is the gist of this? Why do chips lag so far behind everything else, anyway? Weird balancing.

Chip XP doesn't lag behind so much as the demand for it tends to be higher for most players, because most weapons are gallery fodder that stop practically requiring levels at 80.

Card XP is what you're really going to be hurting for at end-end-endgame. The options for getting that are fewer, though the zenny farming strats remain pretty much the same.

what are exp cards and chip exp cards used for? I'm about to get this game so I would like to know.

Also to get Via(square)'s chip to 5 stars.

That said, they lag because you actually need all of them instead of just a few that you use.

23-6 normal gives more chip exp items per stage than max tier exp stage (40+ vs 20+ if I remember correctly), and is much quicker to complete. Plus, you also get to max the via square chip, and then you sell any excess fragments when all is done. 23-6 also gives 40+ weapon exp chips per clear, but gives no card chips at all. Lastly, the exp items given by this stage are the top tier ones, not the lower tier stuff from the shop (10K vs just 500), so you will get much more experience from them.

In the end, to max out everything, you will need to grind the boss stages in normal mode to get their fragments to complete your chip collection, as all chip levels and ranks give stats to your account Power. Also, the gallery gives power as well, so you will end up getting and upgrading all characters, cards and weapons too, to get to the 1.3M+ Power score.

My info could be slightly wrong as I just skimmed through the game to check some of the values. Any corrections are appreciated.
